First the parking lot is messed. When you try to come through to go to your rooms it is the one narrow path that cars coming in and I'll have to go through. However whenever someone is paying for the room they Park in the way and you can't get in or out. Unless you go around to the other hotels parking lot just to get out to the road. When I try to get my room I checked my beds by pulling the sheets off. The first one had bugs in it. Didn't look like bed bugs but it was some kind of bugs. So I got another room and had to wait for the guy that find one and get everything turned around in the system. The second room the sheets were not cleaned. They had a long hairs from someone previously. I am a guy with very short hair and I know it definitely didn't come from me. So I got my room changed again. The third room was a lot better. The bed sheets were clean and it had no bugs. However it wasn't cleaned as good as it could have been. Even though they have a sign saying that they are newly remodeled, but that doesn't mean everything in the room is. The AC units are old and outdated. The only thing that's been renovated is that they have lamps with USB ports on them, a big screen TV, the bathroom has new tub handles and they painted the wall tile. But the carpet is still old and dirty. The fridge and microwave is old and dirty. Has out dated chairs and and beds. And your money is non-refundable so if you reserve a room, you paying for it whether you stay here or not.

Our stay Jan.19-Jan.21, 2018...The staff was friendly, the hot breakfast was good should of had more orange juice. The bedrooms are freezing. The tubs paint was peeling. The bathroom wall is bust and cracked. The sink is crack. The pillows are uncomfortable. The bed that we slept in the mattress kept sliding to the edge every time my husband rolled over almost dumping him in the floor. The tvs channel's are so blurry that you can noy watch TV. Water gets so hot it will burn you and even when we would turn the cold water on the water kept getting hotter.

One of the worst places I’ve stayed in. I travel a lot, and try to be budget conscious. I’ve tried staying here twice, both times have been disappointing. I won’t stay again. Broken breakfast machine, lack of condiments, over salted eggs & sausages, cold room with two thin sheets, window so dirty it feels like a textured finish. Place is run down.

Avoid! Stayed there Jan 3rd 2018. Driving from St Augustine back to Ontario. Was stuck on I95 all day on the 3rd due to the snow storm, couldn't make our pre booked hotel further north. Wife booked this hotel online via our cell in the car using Expedia - have done this many times before without issue. Detoured off I95 and headed to Orangeburg Econolodge. We arrived at about 22:30 and waited an hour and a half to check in!!!! AN HOUR AN A HALF!!!!!! The clerk was absolutely USELESS!!! He couldn't find our confirmed booking number in his system - the same for several other guests before us. It took all that time to check in the five people in front of us. We finally got to our room at almost midnight!!!! The room was disgusting, filthy bathroom, filthy walls, rusty door handles, smelly and one thin sheet on the beds, luckily we had spare blankets with us. Neither my wife, our two teenage sons or I, even had a shower we so desperately needed because the bathroom was dirty. Any other time I would have gone back to complain, but it would have taken another hour to sort that out. The place is a dump. The only silver lining is I swear I will never have to set foot in the place again. DO NOT BOOK A ROOM AT THIS 'HOTEL' . You have been warned.

Awful. Dirtiest place I have ever been to. Brown stuff around bathroom door knob, sheets dirty, pillow case was dirty n not dusted or vacuumed under chair. I clean bettrt being handicap. Not worth the money. Going to a haunted house would be cleaner.
