Story

Located in the heart of downtown Nashville, the Country Music Hall of Fame® and Museum documents and interprets the history of country music—a musical genre and culture central to the identity of the city, the state, and the nation. Accredited by the American Alliance of Museums, the museum proudly combines subject expertise, ambitious research, and preservation of an unparalleled collection with expressions of creativity in music, art, and history. The museum collects artifacts that illustrate the evolving history and traditions of country music while providing diverse learning opportunities. The core exhibit follows the story of country music from its folk beginnings through its emergence as a commercial art form. Rotating exhibits examine a broad range of topics, from country classics to ultra-contemporary and emerging artists in American Currents. The museum owns Hatch Show Print, a letterpress print shop opened in 1879, and it operates Historic RCA Studio B, where Elvis Presley and many others recorded.

If you love music, especially country music, this place is awesome. There were so many neat things to see whether it was outfits, cars, or the highlighted exhibits. You learn a lot too while you go through. I really enjoyed my time here. I did the Studio B combo with this. It was worth every penny. There is so much to see here, you can spend a whole afternoon there so make sure you have time, and take your time. You don't want to miss out on any of the super cool stuff.

I hardly listen to country music at all and have been to the museum twice and enjoyed both times. The museum mostly focuses on older country music and it's musical roots. It also has a large exhibit on how Nashville become such a big music town for other genres besides country. The museum also has several spotlight musicians that go indepth into the artist's personal and public life. I would also highly recommend Nashville natives to go if they haven't been because local residence get in for $5 each.

Would highly recommend going here, even if you aren’t a fan of country music. It was a great experience and we enjoyed the tour. The experience of going through RCA Studio B was awesome. Definitely learned a lot and it was cool to see the place were so many entertainers and artists have recorded.

I really enjoyed our Studio B tour (being an Elvis fan, it was pretty cool to stand in the studio where he recorded many of his greatest hits). The museum was awesome as well, a must-see for all country music fans. If you don't like country music or history however, this isn't the place for you. I also wouldn't recommend it as a "family" outing with the kids, but that's just my opinion. It took us a little over 2 hours at least to go through the whole thing, and we didn't even read/see all of what they had. Worth the price for sure. You get your money's worth

Really great spot to see where Country music started it all with many different artifacts ranging from historic to contemporary. It is extensive in its collection and filled with tons of small hidden gems. The audio guide is free and a great way to get more details on some artifacts. The wall of records that have made gold or platinum is also a highlight. Overall you can't go wrong if you enjoy history or music.
