A Knoxville favorite! When looking for something to do around town, you can't go wrong swinging by to visit the Knoxville Museum of Art. They have some wonderful pieces as permanent installations, but some of the changing galleries always keep it diverse. Free to the public is a bonus. The upstairs view of World's Fair Park is fantastic.

This is a great place to go on a rainy day, either alone or with others. I could easily spend a few hours in this clean, well organized, interesting museum. It was nice to see they have temporary pieces as will as permanent ones. There really should be more seating available though. It's definitely a place to go again.

The student art was amazing, hard to believe the quality of the works by these middle and high school kids. Entrance to the museum is free and everyone was very friendly. The permanent exhibition was ok: it that some good art, but it mostly documents local artists and it's quite small.
