About a year ago I visited the full service Marriott in San Antonio and stayed in one of the new "Millennial" rooms and hated it - no chair, no desk, no drawers. A week ago I stayed at the the San Bruno Courtyard - and loved it. The trim was updated and modern, but still very useable. I particularly like the shower upgrade and all the plugs/power near the bed!

I dropped my friend off at the hotel the night before he took off to go back to New York. Staff was helpful and nice. Rooms were thoroughly cleaned. Friend said the hotel was nice but nothing spectacular.

During this stay, I didn't get to spend much time in my room other than to sleep and shower. However, here are a few things I have noticed. Service was fast and easy because I had booked and paid in advanced. I also arrived early Saturday morning and they were able to get me a room before the actual check in time. The location is somewhat secluded from major cross streets, but is in walking distance from a Wells Fargo and a Chili's. It is also about a 5 minute drive to downtown San Bruno where there are some amazing restaurants. And also about a 2 minute drive to The shops at Tanforan (local mall) and the BART station. It also has an amazing indoor pool and hot tub. However you will get stuck with double ply toilet paper, rough cotton towels, and thin walls. I enjoyed my brief stay.

Rather boring interior, but superior customer service and friendliness of staff. Has a small Starbucks joint for basic breakfast needs. Be aware the rear rooms fee the freeway. I asked for a quieter room (facing the courtyard) and that was no problem.

Nice facilities. Great breakfast area, good for consultations. Friendly staff. Plenty of parking.
