I had a decent experience with In and Out Phone Repair/Cell Phone Repair. Here are some of my thoughts: PROS: Customer service was pretty good. Dallas and Cory (sorry if I spelled your name wrong) were very kind and friendly. As such, I had no issues with them, perhaps because I took it upon myself to call them each day for an update on my phone - given I was told it would be ready in about 2 days after I took it in. So, why call every day for an update? Well... CONS: The phone I brought in was my wife's. When I brought it in on a Wed, I paid extra for overnight shipping on a new screen because I didn't want my wife to go without her phone for too long because we like checking in on each other when we're not together. As such, the staff and I expected the screen to arrive the following day (Thu) so that they could work on it and have it ready by then, or Fri at the latest (which I was OK with). Unfortunately, something went wrong with shipping and/or delivery and the phone ended up elsewhere and they weren't able to locate and get the phone until Sun. Once they finally did receive it and got to work, they ran into a slight issue with the screen and wouldn't have it ready until Mon. OVERALL: Although the process took much longer than we had anticipated and I had reasons to feel upset and to request a refund on the overnight shipping cost, I told myself it was OK. In the end, they did a good job replacing the screen. Unfortunately, my overall satisfaction with the whole process wasn't as great as I had hoped it would be. That being said, I obviously can't speak for anyone else who's had a better experience than me because, you know, in life, things don't always go as ideally as we would like. I know the shipping and/or delivery issue probably wasn't their fault and likely out of their hands, but it still managed to sour the experience a little bit for me. Regardless, I did enjoy working with the staff. They were professional and truly did a great job fixing our phone.

First I would like to say every time I call the staff is always nice, helpful and courteous.. but every I call. I have to call and get status.. I dropped off a laptop that is STILL with them. After receiving the fee - I did forget to stop by and pay for a few days...but I paid and the part was ordered late Oct... I'm STILL w/o my laptop. I was told last week it would be done by Friday.. I called Monday (11/20) and was PROMISED by today (11/21) I didn't receive a call, now I'm leaving out of town.. horrible communication skill reaching out to customers... (A simple call to a customer goes a long way..)

I had some concerns I would like to share that contribute to my 3-star rating. The biggest one is that the communication is absolutely dreadful. I gave Dallas my phone on Thursday & was told he would be calling me with updates. I called him on Friday afternoon because I didn't hear from him Thursday night when he said he would call. I didn't hear from him all day on Saturday. So I called him Saturday evening and left a panicked voicemail (will explain the story and the "panicked" voicemail below) and on Sunday when my voicemail was not responded to, I called him AGAIN Sunday afternoon. So I needed to transfer data from my old broken phone that had a cracked, inoperable screen. My cellphone company sent a replacement phone to me a couple days prior, so I needed to ship my broken phone back to them or I would be fined a hefty sum of money... When I came into the CPR store on Thursday, Dallas asked me if this was an urgent matter and I explained the situation to him, told him yes it was urgent & I needed my phone back by Saturday at the latest. He could replace my inoperable screen with one of their screens & that way we would be able to access my device so we could transfer pictures. He said he would give me a call Thursday night. Friday afternoon I haven't heard from him so I called him & they were still figuring out how to transfer pictures; the screen they had at the store didn't work apparently so they needed another screen that would be here tonight or tomorrow morning but he would be in touch with me. I said okay & hung up. ALL DAY Saturday I heard nothing from him. So that is why I left a panicked voicemail Saturday night, saying "okay I haven't heard anything from you and I need to send my phone back so please call me as soon as possible." Still didn't hear anything back from him by Sunday afternoon, so when I called AGAIN, I found out that the pictures weren't transferred from my broken phone to the computer on Saturday. At all. So it had to be done on Sunday. Transferring pictures from a phone to a computer is a very rudimentary process. All the data could have easily been transferred to a computer on Saturday, and I could have put all that data on my new phone Saturday afternoon. The entire process on Sunday with transferring photos to the computer & then to my new phone took about 4 hours. There was plenty of time I could have transferred my contacts and notepad items, if only it was done on Saturday and not right before closing time on Sunday. This significant problem with communication, and seemingly forgetting to prioritize the issues that need to be prioritized, could be due to Dallas being the only one working in the store. Dallas was extremely intelligent, knowledgeable, and friendly, but I personally don't think he is able to or should work on repairs by himself, because then situations like mine happen: he is consumed with two other customers' phone issues and completely forgets about mine. Ideally, I would have liked for my contacts to be transferred, especially the items in my Notepad because I had some really important notes in there... But it was taking so long to transfer just pictures that I didn't think to even ask him about transferring anything else but my pictures. And I shipped my broken device out on Sunday as soon as he gave it back to me. I am extremely happy Dallas was able to transfer my pictures to my new phone. I overall enjoyed working with him. But, due the issues I experienced above, it warrants only an average, 3-star rating.

I explained my cracked screen problem. Sean professionally let me know the cost and then he checked out my phone for other possible problems. He told me it would be done in about 45 minutes to an hour. I now have a beautiful clear screen that I can see my grandkids’ pictures and a protective screen in case I fall again when hiking. Thanks Sean!
