If you'd like to deal with the most difficult, rude, inconsiderate, sexist, and homophobic camp owner, I highly recommend this place.  He brought my friend to tears when she was describing his behavior to her. He had all kinds of Christian verses in his office. However, he was the absolute opposite of what a Christian should be. No thanks. Never again.  I have no clue how he is in business. I'm guessing he has very few returners and makes his money off of first timers. My fault was in not reading any reviews prior to booking or arrival.

Honestly one of the worst campgrounds I've ever visited. They have a fishing pond that probably doesn't even have a single fish. The place has about 40 campsites in an area no bigger than 3 acres, you could whisper and people in a completely different site could hear you. There were 2 people I saw at the front desk, 1 was a young girl who was very kind but be other one was a middle aged man who was very paranoid and difficult to deal with. Now these are only the main things on the very long list of horrible things in the campground. If you want to visit a great campground in NC visit the Arrowhead Campground in Montgomery County.

We had a great time swimming, exploring, and tubing. Make reservations for tubing and kayaking well in advance, they book up quick!

Really beautiful campground with great and helpful owners. They work every day to keep the campground clean, organized and manicured. It's very quiet with only nature and woods surrounding it. The river is a short 5 minute walk away. They have a clean pool, fishing pond, covered picnic area, horseshoes, ping pong, swings, and basketball hoop. I loved hiking on the cleared trails surrounding the campground that gave nice views of the river. Highly recommended campground.
