Was a really nice place at one time! Then the stealing, fighting and heavy drinking started. I have been told the new manager is working to correct these issues and update things. Hopefully that is the case.

I camp multiple times a year here. Great new management. I don't understand why people give poor reviews due to issues outside of their control such as a terrible storm damaging their lodge. Also if you need the, cell phone, internet and other social connection devices besides good people and good face to face interaction then maybe camping isn't for you. Keep your butt in the city and face stuck in Facebook. This is an awesome campground with a great staff.

Full disclosure: I have family here, and stayed here as their guest. I'm no camper, but it was an interesting spot to hang out for a weekend. Located among lots of quaint little towns: Blowing Rock, Granite Falls, and Morganton are all fun.

Dumpy park, too tight, could hear your neighbor fart.... unlevel sights....found a level one got completely setup, then got knock on door saying you're going to have to move, you can't stay here it's a permanent site....after I was told any empty site was OK.... I WILL NEVER GO BACK THERE....EVEN IF OFFERED FREE CAMPING!!!
