My family moved to the area and needed to find a doctor. We made an appointment with Dr. Baggett and are extremely happy with the high level of care we receive . The entire staff at Summerville Primary Care is very knowledgeable, compassionate, and caring. They always go above and beyond to care for our entire family. Don't take my word for it, if you are searching for a physician who takes the time to get to know you as a person as well as making sure you are cared for like family, make an appointment with Dr. Baggett, you will not be disappointed!

I never write reviews. Check out my review history. But after today I feel compelled to warn others. I wish I had paid more attention to the reviews. I come from a long line of doctors. My grandfather, great grandfather, my father is an anesthesiologist, My brother, a gastroenterologist. I grew up immersed in the medical field. I visited Summerville Primary Care today and had the worst experience I’ve ever had at any doctor’s office. I specifically asked to see dr baggett on my first visit. Was never told on the phone of his policy to not see first time patients. When I went back to the room, I’m informed that a lady will be in to see me. I immediately said, no I’m here to see Dr Baggett. I wanted to walk out right then. She apologized, left the room and came back reiterates the policy but said I’d be able to “meet” him at the end of my visit. I had already paid so I decided to stick it out. Then another lady came in. her name was Leanne Bridges. She was the most condescending “professional” I had ever dealt with. I’m shocked and appalled by the way she acted. No professional has ever spoken to me in this manner. From what i understand she is the office manager doesn’t usually see patients. She has the worst bedside manner of anyone I’ve ever come into contact with. If I didn’t know the exact names of the medications she would make faces and roll her eyes. I hadn’t had an allergic reaction in twenty years and couldnt remember the brand name. She pulled so many faces throughout our visit and acted like a bully. She had formed an opinion of me before she knew any of my medical history. I was told that others with my condition don’t have it as bad and basically insinuated I was exaggerating. She told me no doctor in South Carolina would be willing to give me the care I was requesting. I happen to know that’s completely false. After she attempted to humiliate me, all with an air of superiority , she left the room. I could hear everything she said about me when she was outside the room. (I also heard that another patient in a different exam room also thought they was seeing Dr Baggett that day.) Leanne was Extremely unprofessional and judgemental. Never looked at my medical records (I suspect she wasnt qualified to decipher them.) To top it all off I was never able to meet Dr Baggett as promised at the beginning of my visit. He couldn’t be bothered. I will never step foot in this practice again and I will be contacting the state medical board and the state department of health services regarding this matter. Listen to all the negative reviews. They are all true I understand Leeann is the owner at the summerville medical spa next door. Do your due diligence before you give either establishment your business

Today was my first visit to this office, trying to establish a new primary care physician. The staff was very personable and friendly. I arrived early to make sure all of my paperwork was completed and I was ready. Then I was called back to the room where I waited for an hour. Finally at the 1 hour mark, a young (I assume doctor, but could have been a male nurse practitioner came in). He was condescending and didn't listen to my medical history as it pertained to the medications I ve been on before and how I reacted to them. I understand that different doctors believe in different medications and that's fine, but I've been on a good combination that works for me extremely well (for sever anxiety and severe depression). He told me he doesn't believe in benzodiazepines, which again, I understand. Doctors don't want to peddle drugs to people when they have the potential for abuse. But the thing that bothered me more than anything else is the fact that on my first visit, I never met the doctor. I never saw the doctor. He didn't bother to even come in, apologize and shake my hand. And I asked the nurse who checked me out if he was there. She said he was. Clearly I was not important enough to meet the man who would be my primary doctor for the foreseeable future. I will not be going back. I'd rather go see a doc in the box who actually sees me and listens to me than wait an hour and pay to be overlooked or passed over. Don't waste your time or your money. Go somewhere else.

Some of the worst staff ever! Dr. Baggett is great though. However some major house cleaning is needed.
