My husband and I recently had the opportunity to go to Dr. Baggett's MY husband and I recently had the opportunity you go to Dr. Ba ggett's offih oq e . We were extremely impressed with both the doctor and his staff. We are both seniors and have lived in many parts of the country and believe Dr. Baggett is one of best doctors we have seen. We were really impressed that he actually takes the time to ,is the time to talk to you!!!

I had an appointment to see the PA, Stephanie, today at SUMMERVILLE PRIMARY CARE. I called yesterday to CANCEL my appointment because I was not going to have the copay ($35). In an unrelated incident, I had surgery this past February and my husband and I have both been on FMLA leave from our jobs, with no income. The wonderful young lady that answered the phone put me on hold to check and see if something could be done to accommodate me. She came back to tell me that I should keep the appointment because there would be no problem with me signing an agreement that I would get the $35 paid to them within 30 days of my visit. I get to my appointment today and the very unfriendly receptionist tells me "she never heard of that" when I tell her about the agreement I was told to sign. I explained that I did not have the copay just like I had told them the day before when I called. She responded, very nastily I may add, "none of it?". She got up to consult with a woman in the back office and then they pulled another woman in. I felt like they were trying to solve a brain surgery question rather than just getting me something to sign. They come back to the window and asked me if I have a credit card that they can put on file. That this is the only way I can make an agreement (if I had a card, I would have just paid it). I tell them I don't and they question my husband if he has one. (Please remember that I am on crutches this whole time standing at the window) I tell them that I would like to see Stephanie, the PA, so that I can explain to her why I am no longer keeping my appointment or remaining to be a patient (last month they billed me for an appointment that my insurance company would not cover because it was coded wrong). The white haired woman from the billing office got nasty and condescending when informing me that I couldn't see Stephanie because she was with other patients and she would note the file, as she began to close the glass window on me. I threatened to call the cops (which I know now was silly but I was just so angry) and she laughed at me and told me that was ridiculous. I cannot believe what poor customer service I received at Dr. Baggett and Stephanie Pitcarin's office. I was made to feel that I was not a valued patient and they could care less why I was there. Now, had they just let me reschedule the appointment for when I had the copay, this could have all been avoided. What happened here is that we had a lovely person willing to treat me (because Doctor's should care) and then we had greedy, nasty, old women who hate their jobs greet me at the front door. Awful. Just awful. I only wish that I could speak with Dr. Baggett or Stephanie, but I know it would be a cold day in hell before these women put me through to them. Its unfortunate that they lost 2 patients (myself and my husband) over $35 today. Pleas be aware.
