Beautiful park. Great staff. I would have gave more stars but I am a Disabled veteran. I was injured Serving OUR country. I use to think we where the UNITED States of America. That we fought for all of our neighbors, regardless of a specific state. I love the Diversity of this country and the states Right to choose. We can't forget about the Men and Women that have Fought and continue to Fight for this land and it's People. How can we charge those that have Freely given so much in defense of these Ideals, just to see the land we have put our lives on the line for? Camping for veterans even on a limited scope should be as free as the ideas we fought for. Support IAVA, VFW, DAV

We try to come up at least once a year and rent one of the cute little cabins. This park is just set far enough away from town that we feel like we're pretty close to the wilderness of the Verde Valley. There are some very nice trails to hike which really connect me to the beauty and nature of the area. There are even some geocaches along the way! I highly recommend stopping by this well cared after park.

Nice park. Nice horses and nice people. Water crossings. Very dusty trail. Don’t take expensive camera on ride. Shoot after. Big cottonwoods and wonderful state park.

My husband and I LOVE going here to relax and fish. I've only made it a couple of times, but hubby went about 13days in row (excluding the weekend), and caught his limit of trout every time. Great place to take the grandkids and be assured they're going to catch fish.

We have camped here twice. Very friendly staff. Many sites have views of Jerome which is really cool at night. Fishing is probably pretty good although me and the boys have not had luck. Does not have sewer hook ups at the sites which is the only reason I give it a four instead of a 5.
