First off Dick's "is what it is" - an excellent selection of brand name stick-and-ball sporting good at full retail price.  What confuses me about this place is the service.  The employees are super friendly and helpful, yet the service is terrible.  There are always long, very slow lines at the check out.  You are always subjected to a battery of questions about score cards, donations, birthday, service plans.  And there is always a register, or two that are having a problem, with a price or a discount or a return.  You walk around this big beautiful store full of sporting goods but always leave annoyed by the check out process.  I suspect both their POS hardware and software are antiquated and in need of replacement. Maybe for Christmas...

Not one employee spoke to me in the store.  After I found golf shoes and measured my son and got his size we went to pay.  The signs on the display was wrong and these shoes were almost twice the posted price.  I had the transaction canceled...still no apology or offer of help from an employee.  We found acceptable shoes at the right price and had to say, "excuse me" to the employees who were playing/socializing in the already too small exit area.  If there had been someplace else local to buy golf shoes, I would never enter Dick's again.

Can usually find what you want for a higher price. Don't try to find gear when it's not that season though. For example, don't look for basketball shoes during summer. Recently did this and all they had was 3 pair of the most expensive ones. Always have running shoes, but can be found elsewhere cheaper, but if all you want to do is try them in, it's a good place for that.

It was fine..I was hoping to find an Eric Weddle jersey. Staff was helpful.

Good service as usual. Power went out unexpectedly and they set my items aside until I could return to buy them.
