The camp hosts are great. They are very friendly and helpful. You can buy ice and firewood from the host. The shower rooms are air conditioned and get cleaned everyday. It's hard to find the water spouts. They are all a good distance from the tent sites. There is very limited shade I. The tent sites also while the camper sites are well shaded

Pleasant campground with paved spacious sites, well-maintained. No water or sewer connections at sites but water pumps are nearby and a clean dumpsite is just outside the park. Great walking/biking trails within park and to the Fort Peck Dam Interpretive Center & Museum. A very interesting and informative Center which is a must do, and, if available, do the Dam Powerhouse Tour. We would definitely return to this campground when in the area. We were here July 26-29 in a small class A towing our car.

Place looks very nice. Fills up fast even with about 21 non-reservable spots. Need to arrive at least by 8:00am to secure an unreserved spot, particularly on weekends...popular with locals. We had a really distasteful experience with the staff member at the gate -- Carol. Initially, she was very pleasant and informative. The campground was full and we asked for any suggestions for an alternative. She suggested West End Marina and even called them for us. There was one site open and she even told them she was sending us down. Apparently, there was a local also looking at the same time. She told them about the open site while we were turning around and apparently told them to hurry. They ran to their RV, jumped in and pulled out very quickly ahead of us and stayed ahead of us, pulling into the site Carol had called on for us. There was nothing we could do. We were relegated to overflow and no hookups. We understand full campgrounds and first-come-first-served, but in this case, we were intentionally mislead and set up. Unfortunately, even though the Camp Host at West End acknowledged that Carol had called for us and he was expecting us, he would not take any action to ask the interlopers to move out. Alas...such are the trials and tribulations of being on the road.

I love this campground. There are shower facilities, play ground, pavillions horse shoe pits and plenty of trees. Water at campsites and dump station is adjacent to campground. A fantastic trail for biking, walking or running is paved and has benches throughout. Fishing ponds and the Fort Peck interpretive center are a short distance from camp.

Kind of rustic but the space between sites is great and the scenery from the back loop is great. The walking trail is paved and you can walk to the very nice Interpretive Center.
