I have been a patient of Dr. Sergev's for several years. I've always found him to be encouraging, forthright, and interested in my concerns. He is treating me for a thyroid condition and also helping me address metabolic issues to prevent development of diabetes. I've had prompt responses to my questions and need for scheduling appointments from the office staff. I've always been treated with courtesy and dignity. Yes, there have been times when there has been a bit of a wait; however, I consider it worthwhile because I know that the time needed to address my questions and concerns will be given me. I've referred a number of people to him. I've heard good things about Katherine from other people but haven't had the pleasure of meeting her or dealing with her. I transferred to Dr. Sergev from another endocrinologist whose office nurse was officious and supercilious while the doctor made me feel superfluous. Dr. Sergev is caring, concerned, knowledgeable and straightforward. If I need to make lifestyle changes, he is not averse to letting me know! I appreciate both him and his staff.

I think he saved my life !! Spent more time with me than any other except my urologist, Dr Kelly Shaffer and they are in a dead tie ! Dr Sergev accurately diagnosed me and literally helped me turn my life around. My sister had been on thyroid medication for decades but her doctors could never seem to get it right. She went to Dr Sergev and after labs and follow up visit/s corrected her medication and now she is like a new woman! I have recommended him to at least 2 dozen people since I started going to him.

I initially received my diagnosis of a tumor in my thyroid from my primary care physician who sent me for an ultrasound and biopsy at their facility. I was referred to a different endocronologist for follow up. Due to the fact that i could not get an appointment with that dr, I called and made an appointment with Dr Sergev and got an appointment within 2 months. I went to see him in March 2017. Before my appointment, they needed my records. I personally got them from my primary dr and took them to his office. When I had my appt, I was told that they did not have my pathology report. I went to my primary physician, got the report and took it to them the same day. I was again told by their office they did not have it. They did and I told them that I personally brought them in. I was examined and told to come back in 6 months and he would do an ultrasound in his office. I went back in 6 months, i was told that they did not have my pathology report! Again, i went to my primary, got my records and took them to them. I had 3 appts with Dr Sergev. One I had bloodwork with Katherine, went back to see her. And that is when I was told that they didnt have my report. Went back a third time for what I thought was my ultrasound. They couldnt find my freaking file! Finally, they found it under a nurses desk. So, I had my ultrasound and got home from my 4:00 appt at 7pm. So then he referred me to a surgeon. Then i was told my B12 was low. So i got a B12 shot and paid 10.00. They were running a special that you could get 4 shots for 30.00. The next week, i paid 30.00, scheduled a shot for the next 2 weeks and my 4th in one month. I went back for my last shot. I was called to the front desk and was told that i owed 56.00. Ok, so this was probably for my bloodwork that the insurance did not pay. I said i wanted to see a breakdown because i hadnt received a bill for this. I also saw 2.00 for B12????? So, by this time I am getting angry. I was only there for a shot. Dont make this visit cost me an hour of my time, again!!! Then she starts looking to see if I had paid for my 4 shots and called the nurse to look through my file. So I said, "Are you saying that i may not have paid for this shot?" And I was told that she was looking through my file to see if I had paid for it. So, I told her ," Forget the shot. This is THE worse place that I have ever been. Keep the shot. Worse place I have ever been." And I stormed out, angrier than a wet hen. I went home, looked at my bank info and saw where I had paid for the 4 shots on October 5th. Recap... Like i told the girl at the front desk, this is the worse place that I have ever been. The doctor was nice and knowledgeable. However, his office staff is highly incompetent. The information above does not even begin to show the frustration that I had to go through with this staff. From them not having my reports ( when I personally brought them to them), to losing the file, to putting me in a room and forgetting about me, to having to spend 30 minutes or more to get a shot that I had to make an appointment for, to insinuating that I did not pay for the 4th shot, I had had it. Bottom line, I will be making an appointment with another endocrinologist for future appointments. It will be my pleasure to call and get my file sent to another doctor, if they can find it.

They don't return telephone calls of existing patients. I called last week and still haven't heard from them and still can't get a hold of them. They wrote a prescription for me and the pharmacy can't get a hold of them. I am now out of medication with no resolution. The staff either doesn't care or they are incompetent.

My Mom has been trying to reach these people for weeks for her thyroid medication that she needs desperately. They ignore her.
