I visited my cousin in the ICU. The female nurse (of African origin) was the meanest healthcare worker I've ever met. She treated me like I was a crook walking down the street. She responded to me with dark suspicion. She pretended like I did not exist. She made me feel like I was safer in the hood than being in the ICU, and deep inside me, I felt like a piece of cow manure when she was done with me. 
The sad truth is, I was totally caught off guard with that treatment.  Since that day, I've been inquiring around  about the quality of  service at this hospital. I've already done told at least 5 persons about my negative experience. 
If anyone from the hospital Administration reads this, I hope they'll pay a little attention to the bedside manners of some of those nurses that are on staff just collecting a paycheck but don't give a lick about the patients or their family members. Y'all please do something about staff negative attitude.

For the most part your In and out of the emergency room not like UMDNJ where they take forever! And the nurses here are comforting. Didnt rate a 5 because the patients can be irate sometimes but its not the hospital fault. Also could be more cleaner..

I always receive good care every time I come here. Way better than the UMDNJ in Newark plus I don't wait too long. Last time I came here was when I injured my knee in 2009.
