They still have smoking rooms which is gross. I asked for a king sized bed online only to find out that it was smoking when I got there and it was given away despite my reservation. Still charged the same amount for a single queen room. The power on the television kept browning out. The toilet seat was loose and kept moving when one was sitting on it. The workers are nice people but it doesn't make up for the fact that this is a real s**thole. At least there weren't any sketchy people staying there that I noticed.

We were traveling home from Florida and an ice storm hit Asheville and multiple wrecks shut down interstate 26. We were only 2 hours away from home but we knew we had no chance to get home that night. So we decided to get a room, we stopped in at every hotel on this exit and they were all fully booked with people because of the storm. Our last stop was at the econolodge and we got the last room! The lady working at front desk was not very nice or helpful but we were glad to have a warm place to sleep. The room really surprised me! Beds were clean and made up nice and bathroom was clean. Very nice tv with lots of channels and the heater in room kept us toasty! We would probably stay here again

Wasn't the best service. But rooms were clean. Smelled like smoke but was nice. Would stay again if discounted rooms are available
