Don't see why all the good reviews. We will not be staying here ever again, nor will we be recommending this place to others. Was full up, had to drive around to find a place that was available. When we did meet a host, they were not friendly or helpful. Frustrations on my part came out with not to pleasant of words. Many of the campers seemed long term and vagrant like. Beaches are not easily accessible and long distances to walk. We visited in early April so summer vacationing times would not be an excuse. No brochures to explain park rules or expectations.

Great lake for bass fishing, boating, swimming, and camping. Be aware that it can get very windy at times and most places don't have shade. If you prepare well you'll have e a great time. Don't bring your giant pop up shade without some heavy duty stakes.

Nice park. We walked some of the trails, but I can imagine the lake being a huge attraction during the warmer summer months. Staff was super friendly and really helpful.

Great State Park, beautifully maintained, very clean, pull thru sites available. Reasonable rates. We called ahead for reservations and were told we didn't need one for that day, they were wide open. When we arrived we were told they were full, due to high winds a lot of people had decided to get off the roads and the park was full. Needless to say we were pretty frustrated since we had tried to reserve early that morning. Eventually they found us a spot, so all ended well.

We love the Butte. Awesome place to hang out on the beach, enjoy the water and go boating or fishing. There are several good Marina's. The town has a couple of good food places, including casa taco, which is amazing. It's not far from T or C, where there are all the amenities, including a huge Walmart.
