When you come to a hall for an event where people are dressing nicely and photos are going to be taken - you appreciate that the hall is clean and presentable. As a professional photographer, I'm usually good at scoping out an area where we can get some decent photos. Today I found myself scoping out the area that would be most easily edited where I can get rid of the dirt, dust, and blemishes on the walls! Thankful I wasn't shooting a wedding today - would have to charge the bride and groom extra for the extra editing I would have done!

I care about my clients no matter what kind of event it is or who it is for. I feel it is my duty to warn about the Lowell Elks Lodge. Not sure if there has been a management change or if they just don't give a crap about their renting costumers, but I have never in my 13 years experience seen such disrespect to both my clients and myself as an experienced performing specialist. The Elks Lodge apparently thought it was a great idea to book two rooms, one containing an event where a large party of people were in attendance with speeches for the duration of the entire evening. I occupied the other room performing for a very nice girl's sweet sixteen party. Apparently the guests from the other room complained for the duration of the night (rightfully so), and management RUDELY made me turn the music down to the level of computer speakers (which ruined the sweet sixteen party indefinitely) as they felt the other party took precedence because of the "number of attendees". They failed to see that poor planning and facility planning on their part was the problem and made a scene to the point of ruining the event. Again, I warn my clients of the Lowell Elks Lodge about their lack of personal, problem resolution, manners, professionalism, consideration and overall organizational skills, as I only want the best for my client's special and most memorable moments and I advised my clients to seek at least a partial refund for the establishment's mishap. I regret that I currently have them listed on my website as a place to hold and event, and I will be replacing their trusted reference with a warning about their business methods. If you are struggling to find an alternative location for your event, I will be happy to recommend something everyone deserves. DJ Chillin McMillin
