This hotel is an older hotel that's been renovated. It, as always, had a great breakfast and the staff was decently helpful. The kids loved the indoor swimming pool and the need was comfy. On the downside, a blanket and the shower still had hair on it (yuck), and the bathroom, which has a shower and toilet, was tiny. We, unfortunately, heard a lot of noise in our room as well, making it hard to get a good night's sleep. All in all, not a horrible stay, but for the money, we will probably stay elsewhere next time.

Nice, sleek designed hotel in a good location. Easy to get to right off the freeway. Clean rooms. The only thing I didn't like was there was no bath tub in our room. Great breakfast in the morning. And this time I used their digital key on my phone, so I bypassed the front desk by checking in on my phone and having my phone as the key to the room. I always stay at an Embassy Suites when we travel, and I always go to this location in San Antonio.

This hotel is extraordinary! Rooms are beautiful and always clean. The beds are very comfortable. Denise, Front Desk Associate, answered all our questions and addressed our concerns. The sales managers, Jorge and Stephanie, are awesome! They handled all our agency's needs during our conferences. The breakfast is amazing. It's always hot and delicious.

This is by far the worst Embassy I have stayed out. The slapped on some white paint and made it seem like the hotel was updated. First off the staff apparently was not scheduled properly or had lots of people quit because they were cleaning rooms through 8 PM on the day of my stay. This was on several floors. At the corner of our floor was about 10 to 15 plates with breakfast food still on them at 4 PM. The elevator literally feels like it's gonna give out at any time. If you look up at the corner of the door you will see an accumulation of dust which tells me there is no one really cleaning this place, makes you wonder what they did in the room before you arrived. The rooms are nice but you never see a photo of the shower and toilet, that's probably because it's about a 6X6 room where you practically have to step in shower to close the door. If you are a big person this will be your nightmare. At the end of stay I can tell you I have no interest in staying at this hotel ever again.

It's a shame you can't give a dump like this less than one star. Heater on a very cold night did not work and no one there to fix it. Room telephone did not work and generally speaking the place is just run down. The insistent obnoxious maintenance man finally shows up at 8:00 AM wanting to come in while everyone was still sleeping. We go downstairs an hour later to follow up on the night auditor's promise that the room would be comp'd and here comes the maintenance man who turns out to be the manager. He promptly has me come into his office (away from my pissed off frozen wife) where he acts like he doesn't know anything about what happened and basically say he will only give me another free night in his roach motel. I just couldn't wait to get out of his creepy office. Attempted to contact him with the email address he gave me - the clown of course doesn't respond. Only stayed here because it was close to family. Never again, we'll be staying at the Gunther like we normally do.
