We love staying at these hotels. The rooms have always been clean with lots of room, a microwave, 2 TVs, and a fridge. We love the happy hour and free breakfast. The omelette station is always good! The staff is very friendly. On this last visit, my room did not have a hair dryer. I called the front desk and thought I might have to wait 30 min or more. He was there in less than 10 min. Good job! We will continue to stay in the Embassy Suites when we can.

Embassy Suites is one of my favorite locations to stay in any area. They are especially great for business stays since, you can separate a meeting are from your sleeping area. I love the made to order breakfast in the morning. The San Marcos location is very conveniently located just off the interstate making it easy to get to the Texas State Campus and just down the road to one of the best outlet malls in the country. There is a convention center attached, though not big, is a nice size for a company gathering. If you want outdoor activities, San Marcos is the outdoor play ground of Texas. The Embassy Suites San Marcos is a great convenient way to freshen up after a day of play.

The suite was very nice and the bed was wonderful. I had a handicapped suite and it was well-suited for a handicapped person, especially the bathroom. The concierge was very knowledgeable about San Marcos. The catered food for our conference was delicious, we would stuff ourselves at lunch and save the rest for dinner. The in-house Starbucks was great, their coffee was a dollar cheaper than a regular Starbucks. The free breakfast at the hotel was very tasty. Overall I had a very good time over 4 days at this hotel.

Very nice atmosphere. I stay here for every business trip I make into San Marcos, and I have never had a single complaint about the rooms, or the staff. Free Drink Happy hour in the lounge is a major bonus after a day of meetings. They have plenty of snacks (not just bar nuts) and the staff makes you feel very welcomed. The breakfast each morning is also a very nice touch. The coffee is sub par, but the made to order omelets and French toast makes up for it.

It seems like a slightly older hotel. But I will say the staff was AWESOME and helpful. Moesha at the front desk was very nice. We had to switch rooms but the staff was accomodating.
