So I just moved to Santa Barbara and I had to rent a car briefly till my own car arrived by the movers. Brad helped me the first time and was completely wonderful, helpful, generous and easy to work with. We loved the Chevy Impala we drove and I really had a great experience for my Birthday weekend with the rental in LA! A week later my car from the movers arrived and unfortunately got in an accident a day later, I went back to the same Enterprise location and this time Jasmin helped me. She was an equally amazing person and such a help! She went far and beyond to help us in a time of need. We walked in minutes before closing and even though they didn't have any cars left on the lot, she made sure another location was able to help us that day. I think Jasmine and Brad deserve BIG GOLD STARS in my opinion! Everyone else in this office was friendly and so helpful as well. I would rent from this location again and suggest it to guests who come to visit Santa Barbara in the future because of these two employees that have "can do" attitudes and are so helpful and gracious! I've been renting from this Enterprise office sporadically for several years now, but unfortunately, only recently became a card carrying Enterprise member. The reason I keep coming back is that, aside from Enterprise's streamlined rental process, the peeps that work at this particular office consistently go above and beyond my expectations in what could easily be both a mundane and frustrating process of renting a car on a busy day. As a front desk manager at a local hotel for over 18 years, I have empathy for people who work in the travel industry. In the course of a normal day, one experiences a wide array of customers, from the patient and precious to the demanding and entitled. And so it is at this small but hyper busy location in the heart of Santa Barbara. The key factor is, the employees remain professional and kind no matter what level of (generally unfair) invective is thrown at them. I've seen a few other reviews complaining about cars not being available on time and people having to wait. What these folks need to understand is that it is generally not the fault of the employees in the office when a car doesn't come in on time, but rather the fact that a guest who was supposed to turn a car in on a certain day has decided to keep the car for longer. I myself am guilty of this several times over! It's the nature of renting cars. My strategy is to always bring a book (remember those?) to read. That said, even though I'm content in my zone, the people who work there check in on me multiple times and apologize to the point where I beg them to stop. They get it. They care. And they're doing the very best they can. For as long as I've been going there, Michelle has been there running the show, sometimes alone with 10 - 12 impatient customers chomping at the bit. She handles them with professionalism and patience. Newcomers Andrea, Katie and Nicole have all given me excellent service in the past few weeks as well. Yes, I am a bit of a compulsive car renter, as I save up my pennies for a new car, and "test drive" Enterprise cars over three day weekends. Their rates make this feasible , but their customer service is what keeps me returning. I won't rent from anyone else.

Always a very easy process, they are very good at getting you in and out as soon as possible. I was helped by Jasmine and Carly all smiles all the way through. A note for the manager there; both women worked well as a team as I was seamlessly passed off from one to the other to complete my order. Carly made sure I was aware of all the possible upgrades available and Jasmine's smile made me feel comfortable when I arrived. Ten minutes in and out and very happy. Upon return it was the same thing, a timely greeting, a quick post inspection and genuine concern for my experience with the car and the customer service.

Poorly managed - 6 people waiting for cars but zero cars on the lot so we had to wait for cars to be delivered one by one from another location. Person behind the counter politely offered that I could go get a coffee nearby while waiting. I'm not looking to waste time having a coffee, I just wanted to pick up my reserved car within 30 minutes of the time I showed up so I can get on the road. Next time will use Budget/Avis in the Funk Zone.
