Owner was drunk.  Thrifty might wanna take a close look at this franchise.

They have a policy not listed clearly through other booking sites that created a huge problem for us. They only accept credit cards that are strictly not debit cards. If you bring a debit card, you need 2 photo ids and then they'll do a credit pull. I was traveling light and didn't bring an accepted credit card, so my poor mother had to take responsibility for my car rental (that was already paid for online) and put the deposit on her credit card. The staff was unwavering, but we ended up with a helpful guy in the end. It just took us 3 hours to successfully rent a car. We arrived at 8pm and ended up waiting in line twice to deal with this issue. Another customer there was charged 3 days for a 2 day rental and they couldn't help her at the store. Overall, the company has horrible policies and I'll never rent from them again.

The guy did seem drunk when I called at 8:45 drunk as in WASTED!!!

Only a franchise. Not part of the thrifty corporation or at least that's what the lady told us so if you need to dispute a charge or make other changes they claim they have no access to the wider corporate database. Lady sounded nice on the phone but I am not sure if she just didn't wanna deal with us when I called to see if we can stop by to discuss the optional charges that my friends were charged at LAX and told they absolutely need even though it wasn't true. The LAX service rep took total advantage of their lack of English skills. Overall don't go with Thrifty, the little bit of cost saving are not worth the hassle if there is anything that goes wrong. My friends drove to 3 places locations to get the charges resolved. The 2nd location told them they can't do anything as the manager had left for that day? WTH??? They were forced to drive out all the way to the airport location to be able to return their car.
I couldn't believe it when they told me.

Do not go!! I was denied service based on my ethnicity although that is illegal in 2016. Two men who were at the facility were sleeping during their posted business hours. When they woke up, they appeared drunk and smelled like it. Both men acted hostile, yelled racial slurs at me and verbally threatened at which point felt the need to leave for my safety. Thrifty has also neglected me from filing a complaint by giving me the run around with their corporate lines, saying they are going to transfer me to their Customer Service line and end up hanging up. Wrong and hateful!
