Per the email I received, "If you have a spare minute, we'd really appreciate it if you'd write a review on one of the online review sites shown to the right." Enterprise asked me to, so I will. I had no problem with the personnel I interacted with. However, the counter person had me sign a document that showed no damage to the vehicle before I ever saw the vehicle. When I questioned this, I was told that an employee would be out in the garage and could make note of any damage I found. Of course, when I viewed the car, there were numerous scrapes. And, of course, there was no employee anywhere to be seen who could correct my paperwork. As I was on a short deadline to attend a funeral, I decided to take pictures and video of the entire car and hope for the best if there were any problems when I returned the vehicle. Additionally, I was shocked to come home to print my receipt for the rental, since none was provided when I returned it. Since I had cashed in points for a "free" rental, I was shocked when I found a $50 "Drop Fee" added to my bill without my knowledge. A drop fee is used when you pick up at one location and drop off at another. That was not the case. I called Customer Service who immediately credited my account and said they would forward my concerns to the Norfolk facility manager. I asked to be contacted with information on why/how this was added to my bill. I'm waiting to hear back from Enterprise. Wonder how many other folks just blindly auto-paid their bill and never noticed this type of extra charge?

My rental experience didn't start off great, as I had to wait over 15 minutes just to get through the initial line to check in. They told me I would have to wait 20 minutes for a car but I understood as they were slammed with people. (Although everyone did have reservations, so they should have had enough cars on hand to accommodate). The representative who checked me in even argued with me that I needed to get the toll tag that they offered. I declined, and he told me that I would be charged $15 each time I went through a toll in addition to the actual toll cost. He said there was no way I would be able to get to Suffolk without paying a toll. I'm not sure what this guy was thinking, but I had no trouble avoiding tolls during my 5 days. After waiting 15 minutes after getting checked in, They offered me a minivan, not ideal but it made the wait shorter. The minivan I got was brand new, only 5 miles on the odometer, it was outfitted with leather, heated seats, full touchscreen radio with nav and backup camera, heated steering wheel, very nice for a minivan. No issues during the rental and when I went to return my vehicle they said the office would be closed because my flight was leaving before the airport office opened. However I was pleasantly surprised to find two employees, extremely friendly especially for 5:15am. They made sure I didn't forget anything in the vehicle, got me a receipt (two actually, one showing a zero balance), and assisted me with how to get to the terminal. Overall it ended up being a great experience. Thanks!

I picked the car up at the Norfolk Airport and the fuel tank was not full. I drove the car 50 miles total and had to put in 5.5 gallons of fuel to fill it. When I mentioned this to the gentlemen who checked the car back in at the airport he asked if I had taken a picture of the fuel gauge. I did not as no one has ever said this was a good thing to do. I figured the miles travelled on the odometer compared to how much fuel I put into the car on my receipt would be enough to convince anyone the tank was not full when I received it. Not very good customer service.... maybe I should just rent National in Norfolk from now on. UPDATE - Manager called me and personally apologized and stated staff would be trained in correct procedures... Much appreciate the follow up and confirms my belief that Enterprise is a quality organization.

The staff was very friendly and accommodating of my specific needs. Although the counter is on the first floor, the cars are downstairs so they helped get me down to the garage to find the car. Definitely one of the best reveal experiences I've had.

I had a great experience here (although I always do with Enterprise). We had reserved an SUV, but the agent took one look at my group (myself and my 3 nearly grown sons, and all our luggage) and offered an upgrade to a minivan with no extra charge. I happily took the deal. Great service throughout - Highly recommend!
