Inviting ambiance. Very helpful staff. Menu is full of fresh ideas, flavors and taste...wonderfully prepared. I stopped by after work for happy hour before a jazz show at the the Kogood. Since I was early for happy hour my choice was to shop in City Center for and return or wait. As much as I like to shop...once I sat down...I was not going to leave(ambiance, ambiance, ambiance!).

A very inviting atmosphere welcomes you into Fig & Olive. The casual seating with couches and plush chairs make you want to cozy up and stay awhile. You're drawn to the bar as you come in, the main focal point here. Although, filled with the pretentious of DC, the drinks are prepared well and of good value. The food menu definitely needs work, people like to eat more than salads (or maybe they're catering to their clientele). Bonus points for the live DJ on a Friday night. A good stop as you are touring the City Center.

The atmosphere there is very inviting. Staff is very friendly and helpful. I was having trouble picking something to eat and the waiter helped a lot and was very patient with me trying to make up my mind. We went in the middle of the day and they had their brunch menu which was pretty good; good variety. My husband got the Crostini’s, which looked SO appetizing I just had to have a few bites from him. I ordered the burger and the truffle oil fries. The fries were perfect and the side salad that came with it was simple and tasty. As for the burger, it was extremely well made. I don’t like oily greasy burgers, this was very clean and juicy. The reason I’m giving 4 stars and not 5 is because the bread was a tiny bit dry on the outside and the table had a few chips in them but then again it might be part of the overall feel. Oh! And the bread they bring with the olive oil while you decide on what to eat is spot on👌

We had a wonderful time. Cheese board was very nice. Beer selection was limited but satisfactory. I had the boulliabaisse and it was a bit under seasoned, but the seafood was fresh and tasty. The ambiance was great and the seats were quite comfy. I would definitely go back.

A couple people before mentioned the snobby atmosphere and it’s definitely there. I had a good time though, ordered chicken tagine and it was delicious paired with a grapefruit and raspberry rose. Service was prompt, waitress was really nice in explaining the menu. Would come back! Can be a little pricey so not advisable to those who are watching their wallets.
