I went in to have a alignment on my truck. The gentleman at the front desk was Tony who did not greet me until I walked to the counter and said "excuse me". I had scheduled an appointment before hand but it was not in their system so he said the wait without an appointment would be "two hours or so." I agreed and waited in the lobby. While sitting there I overheard him speak on the phone rudely to a customer. After about 45 minutes he called my name and said the work was done. He gave me a rundown on the notes the technician made about my vehicle-mainly being how I needed a new brake light and some new tires. I knew both but it was promising to have a tech. that actually did their job. I was given my receipt and left. After leaving I began driving to my next destination and noticed that the alignment I went in to fix was still there but not as bad, like it had been adjusted about 50% of what was needed to fix it. I checked the documentation and the tech. had put the alignment for the tow just barely back in the vehicle specification. On the paperwork it states the air pressure were all set at 40 psi but each tire had a different psi varying but 3 or more pounds. Something that won't happen just by heating from driving less that two miles. This experience was not my first at Firestone, most have been pleasant. But this experience shall be my last at this location in particular.

Depending on the service advisor, it can be quick and courteous, or 3 hours (!) for a scheduled-ahead alignment and grumpy service. I've never had a problem with the quality of work though.

These guys are great! Broke down right near their shop & they fixed my car, which wasn't anything to do with the tires. It was a major  engine problem.  These guys did a great job. It's been a little over a month & my car is running good. Thanks.

I always appreciate Firestone on San Mateo for the wonderful service that is always given to our vehicles. The excellent customer service and fast and reliable service is very much appreciated. Thanks!

This evening when I got off work, I was a little stressed because both my tire pressure & washer fluid was low. I pulled up and Donavan Barber, one of the employees, was eager to assist me. Not only did he air my tire and add washer fluid to my car (which I did not expect), he ensured my warning lights were off and reassured me Firestone is always there to help (even at 5 minutes before closing). I am so grateful for superb customer service, thank you Mr. Barber!
