The two stars are only because they sold me a good car and our salesman was a super nice guy. If this was based on customer service alone, they'd be at the lowest possible rating. I showed up at First National already knowing what I wanted, and after a test drive said I wanted to buy the car. Most of the sale, including the credit check and all the paperwork, was similar to what I've experienced in the past when buying cars. It was when we got to the follow-up that things really started to fall apart. When I purchased the car, the check engine light was on. I checked for myself and the fault code indicated an air intake issue. The dealership said the car needed a new MAF and they would do this for me. After taking the car home, I went back and forth with them for several weeks, being told I would be called back, being talked down to, and at one point even having it suggested that I didn't buy the car from them because they didn't have the jacket for the sale in the service department. I was also told that I would have to bring my car in one day for diagnostics and again the next day for repairs. I explained that this doesn't work with my schedule and that we already knew what the issue was. The mechanic responded and told me that "salespeople aren't technicians," which indicates to me that they either allow salespeople to lie about the condition of the cars, or they aren't doing thorough mechanical inspections before putting them on the lot. The latter was confirmed after 3-4 weeks when I decided to do the work myself. I opened the car up and found an absolutely filthy air filter, and after a replacement the fault code was resolved. It also looks like an oil change was never done...not sure if that's standard but I would think it should be. I went to pick up my license plates and they offered to install them while I was signing paperwork. I said that was fine. A few days later I realized they never put a front plate on the car, only the rear plate. I called and was once again condescended to (funny, this never happened when my husband was on the line). The salesman said, "I promise you, there's two there" and then began to suggest that it was somewhere else in my car despite the fact that my car was locked and I was in the building when the install was happening. I was told that "the ladies in the back" were gone for the day and they would call me the next day. That day (yesterday) came and went. I called again today and had the SAME conversation about how it must be my problem that I only have one plate. I was promised a call back but I have low confidence. I will likely have to look into purchasing a replacement plate because the follow through here has been so horrible. Like I said at the beginning, our salesperson was a super nice guy, and I absolutely love my new car. But the customer service was horrible and I hated how often I was talked down to when that never happened to my husband. The disjointed nature of communications, lack of professionalism, salespeople and technicians obviously not being on the same page, and horrible follow up all seal the deal for me - I will not be recommending First National to my friends and family.

Great customer service. Dave was extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and felt very trustworthy. Brand new owner and felt like I got a good deal. Very happy with my purchase. Would recommend this place for sure.

They advertise cars and prices they don't even have on their lot! Complete waste of time! Ran by idiots. Came here to look at a Mercedes at 5:00 p.m. They said someone was driving the car and would be back at 7:00 p.m. Got a call at 7:20 saying the car was ready, so I drove in and when I get inside they tell me the car has been wrecked. Wasted my time!! Now I have to drive back home 3 hours away.

Nice, honest salesman, so I won't name him. Looked at a number of cars. All were junk. And filthy. I was actually concerned that we wouldn't make it back on a test drive.

A week ago we contacted First National Autos to inquire about a Honda Fit listed for sale on their website. When we called, they said that it was actually at their Everett location, but that they had another Honda Fit at their Seattle dealership that we could look at. We made an appointment and drove down. We show up and the salesman looked at the computer and made a couple phone calls, and then said that unfortunately the Fit in question was actually in Tacoma. What?? What kind of terrible inventory management system doesn't accurately track the location of your vehicles, especially if you have multiple locations? The salesman said we could go look at the Fit we were originally interested in, in Everett, but we decided against it because we could not trust that it was even there at all. We did not want to waste our time any further driving around to look at cars that may or may not be where they were claimed to be. We left and went to look at a Fit at another dealership, which I might add was actually where they said it would be, and we ended up purchasing that one. However, over the past week my husband has been spammed with phone calls, emails, and text messages from First National, asking us to come look at another Fit that is supposedly in their Seattle location. Despite the fact that he has told them multiple times to remove his number/email from their system, they continue to contact him. He blocked the first number, but now they are using new ones. I see that many other reviewers have had the same problem of listings being inaccurate (the car not being in the claimed location), and I see management responses that "this is an anomaly, blah blah, we are so sorry" -- yet it continues to happen, so clearly they do not care enough to implement appropriate inventory management policies that would eliminate this problem. They would also do well to learn how to remove peoples' contact information from their database when requested to do so. This behavior is utterly unprofessional and we are very glad we did not purchase our vehicle from this business. Based on this experience, we will never do any business there in the future.
