We attended visited and stayed overnight at the Great Cedar hotel for a comedy show in Fox tower. The hotel staff was friendly and the rooms were clean and ready when we arrived. Bed was super comfortable and I have nothing bad to say about the hotel experience. The show was great though the 1 drink at a time limit and lack of other concession stands made it painful to get refreshments during the show. Night life was fun overall, a little pricey but I suppose I didn't have to go to the high end places if that was an issue. Overall it was great and the restaurants had tremendous variety. We did quite a bit more shopping then we expected with those new outlets though. I was genuinely shocked at the how low prices were, my original thoughts were that it would be normal casino prices and crazy over priced but it was legit outlet prices with like 40%-70% of even clearance items. Great time over all, would come back again if I had more money to spend as we didn't really gamble much.

My friend and I visited Foxwoods for some Chinese food. We had soy sauce chicken with rice at the Noodle Bar. The price is reasonable but my chicken was very bony. It tasted good. We didn't gamble this time. This casino is very much like those in Vegas. Tons of shops, restaurants and gaming. Overall it's a great experience.

Outlet Mall addition really improves this casino. Variety of stores, restaurants for all interests and tastes brings a new interest for us in visiting this casino. In some ways, much nicer than Mohegan Sun, as the stores/other non-gambling distractions there are limited and targeting high end shoppers. Foxwoods - people interested in outlet shopping for clothes/etc for their family, can visit and maybe do some gambling and dining as well. A nice change.

I'm a non-smoker so the smell bothers me a lot. The outlet mall is nice and doesn't smell like the casino. As for the non-smoking part of the casino... it's a joke. We went there to see a show and the seats were good. The hotel was clean and nice, I loved the shower!

3 stars for family entertainment.. 4 stars for adults.. They are getting better with family things to do, such as the added bowling and ice skating rink. The arcade is okay. If management was smart they would have more of vision for families. Especially a hotel for them with activities, baby-sitting services etc.
