We have ordered two things from furniture liquidators. Both have been disasters. The most frustrating part is that everybody there points the finger at someone from another department and nobody is willing to take responsibility, admit a mistake, and fix it…unless of course you call angrily and tell them that you should not have to do all this just to get what you paid for. The Customer Service Department, Delivery People, and the actual Store Representatives all blame each other and nobody seems to be on the same page. The first thing we bought was a sectional. We had to have it redelivered 3 separate times due to there being tears, scuffs, and other abnormalities such as the back of one piece of the sectional sticking out inches past the other pieces. Not to mention, the first time it was delivered, it was missing the back cushion to one of the pieces of the sectional. After we informed them, they "scheduled" a truck to come out to deliver that the next day. It never came. When I spoke with the service department, they did not have any record of that being scheduled and claimed that conversation did not happen. I got so frustrated in having to deal with them that I ended up having some family pick it up and bring it out since they live by there. That really totaled to 4 delivery mistakes for one piece of furniture. One of the delivery guys actually agreed that it was ridiculous and told me that I would be surprised how many pieces they deliver that have damages. I was so frustrated by the end of this that I was willing to forget the couch and just get my money back. They then took me seriously and gave me a gift certificate to smooth things over. Fast forward to now. We found a tv stand that we liked and since we had the gift certificate, we decided to use it. We decided to pick it up to avoid all of the nonsense that happened with the sectional. I did not even get a chance to take it out the box before I noticed that the front corner was smashed in. The box was in perfect shape and this points to it having happened before they even put it in the box to ship it. Do they even inspect anything? It should not be this difficult to get what you see in the store and what you are paying for. Although their prices are slightly more competitive than others, I would say it is not worth the hassle and I would rather pay more than to have to deal with them again.
