I took my father to this facility (Chantilly) & received the WORST service from Dr. Kenneth Mirkin. The staff was extremely cordial & the wait was barely 15 minutes in the lobby. Once we were in the room it took less than 2 minutes for the doctor to arrive. Due to a language barrier I always take my parents to their doctor visits to translate for them. When Dr. Mirkin entered the room, he was cordial, shook both of our hands. He asked us "what brings your father here today". I had provided the doctor with my father's medical information & advised him that my father needed a colonoscopy. Dr. Mirkin did NOT examine my father, instead he looked at my father & asked him "When did you come to the United States?". I translated his question to my father & his answer was 1967. When I relayed the information to Dr. Mirkin, his response was "Wow, since 1967 & you still do not speak English?". First off, what does that have to do with his office visit? Will that question or answer help with this doctor when he performs the colonoscopy? The time spend with this doctor was no more than 5 minutes! Which clearly tells you that this doctor did not socialize with us to ask that type of question. When Dr. Mikrin guided us to the scheduler, I over heard him saying "It is an older guy" while pointing our direction! Dr. Mirkin has NO bedside manners & needs to understand that my father came to this country when he was in his 30's. It is common for folks like himself who did/do not have the time to learn a 2nd language especially if their jobs or daily lifestyle does not require speaking another language. Thanks to the scheduler, Emily, who was a saint for scheduling my father's colonoscopy with another doctor. If your PCP refers you to this facility, make sure you speak perfect English or else DO NOT schedule with Kenneth Mirkin!

This medical facility is pathetic. Filled with careless and incompetent employees. I made an emergency appointment with them 2 weeks in advance. The DAY BEFORE my appointment, someone from their office contacts me to tell me that my appointment had been canceled because the doctor i was scheduled to see, had an emergency. The person who called me to tell me this, didn't seem too bothered by it. Was not apologetic at all. When i expressed my disappointment from hearing this, he just transferred me to another extension, saying that THEY can assist me with any issues. I was transferred to a voice mailbox of one of their associates by the name of Julianna. I left a detailed message, explaining what had happened, and also expressed my disappointment and frustration, as i wasted 2 weeks waiting for an appointment with them, only to have it canceled at the very last minute. To no surprise, no one returned my phone call to address my horrible experience with them. They clearly are a very unorganized medical facility with an incompetent staff who don't care about any one of their patients. If you have any Gastroenterological problems, I'd strongly recommend you seek the assistance of another office. You will be disappointed for wasting your time here.
