Orthovirginia has a very caring and helpful nursing and technician staff. Dr.McMahon is very understanding and has a great memory. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

I saw Dr. McMahon for hip problems, and he performed a total hip replacement. His bedside manner is excellent -- he never makes the patient feel awkward and he explains the procedure in terms I can understand . He's very patient answering questions and explaining post-surgery limitations. I've also seen Andrea Lauber, one of the PAs. She's just as pleasant as Dr. McMahon and takes the time to answer questions. The practice staff has also been very helpful, both in scheduling appointments and arranging for forms to be completed. This is a specialty practice, so if you want a same-day appointment you may not get it absent a true emergency. I'm also currently a patient at OrthoVirginia's physical therapy office. I've seen a few of the therapists and found them all very knowledgable. The aides are great at assisting with exercises. There have been cases where I want to do something and the therapists explain why it is or isn't a good idea -- they don't just say "yes" or "no" they also explain why.

Dr Lawhorn is awesome. Down to earth and very knowledgeable. He's my go-to doctor!

Don't go to Dr Scott. He cleared my son to play HS lacrosse when his arm bone was not fully healed. My son cracked the same spot in three days even with a brace on. Then he was put on a brace for a month and now he needs a hard cast from a different doctor. My son is furious.

Came in early for the appointment as directed but still waited 1 house and 26 mins to be seen.
