My friend and I came in from Florida to do some hiking. We got into the National Park in mid-June and didn't expect things to be so busy. Alas, before going primitive, we decided to stay a night at one of the public campgrounds. The people in charge of this area were extremely kind first off. I even had to ask a question as a ranger was ending their shift, and they treated me with nothing but respect. Although this was a public campground, the views of the mountains were simply amazing. There are two bathrooms, both pretty well maintained. Pumps for drinkable and non-drinkable water. Loved it here. Excellent first night in the Rockies. Thank you for what you do and for your hospitality.

Loved this campground. Close to the bus stop that will take you to many trailheads and also into Estes. The campground was full when we stayed but didn't feel crowded. The bathrooms was modern and always clean. If you have a large camper, over 30ft, there are very few campsites that would accommodate it. If there were showers I would have given it a 5 star. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Another great campground by the NPS. B-loop still has trees and some shade. Site B-55 is nice and private and also has a view of the mountains. We found that the rest rooms here were much newer and nicer than those found at Moraine Park campground. Would stay here again in the future!

My site was located in A loop so trees covered views of the mountains for the most part, but most sites have great views. Campground was clean, and quiet and well set up. Only complaint is some sites near the trash or bathrooms will have a lot of foot traffic coming through your site or near it.

Great Campsite! Nice views, clean, decent smelling facilities. There were some elk that went through the area. Nice place to camp.
