Green Island Inn is a 1950's era motel.  It has been comfortable, quiet and charming.  This place has a lot of character.  The room reminds me of my childhood, places we would stay on trips to Florida.

Everything looks and feels outdated, but that actually adds to charm.  

If you're looking for something high class, this isn't it.  But if you are interested in a place with a lot of character and charm, one that's at the lower end of the price scale, this is it.

Such a sweet little motel, quiet with a lovely pool. There were some issues with house keeping but those were resolved quickly and easily. Close to the beach and affordable!

Charming but hard worn hotel just off the beach. Green Island Inn is a bit tired, but that just adds to the charm. Comfortable beds made up for the less than perfect lighting, and the minimal kitchen was enough for us. Pool looked great though we never used it, as the ocean was just around the corner

This place is the cutest! It's an original 1950s motel, run by the same friendly family for five decades. Everything in it appears to be original so it is a little worn round the edges, but if you're a vintage enthusiast you expect these things and appreciate their charm. If you're a fan of big resorts and superhotels this won't be the place for you, but we wanted the old Florida vibe so this was our paradise. Our little apartment was right off the pool and had its own little porch. The pool is a good size, spotlessly clean and surrounded by a lush garden with palm trees and singing birds. Bars are within walking distance (we went to Flip Flops for the Sunday afternoon happy hour), and there's a decently stocked 7-11 within a five minute walk. It's also close to the beach. I'd definitely stay here again.
