I feel like they straight up lied to me so they could get paid 2 times for a full sized car. 1. The insurance company told me that I would be given a full size car because my car is considered full size. 2. Rep was trying to ask coworker low key "should I do it?" shows me a full sized car, then changes his mind suddenly and says that car is not available. 3. Goes back to the computer does his magic and then proceeds to show me a compact car. 4. I pointed out that there was another full sized car in the lot but guess what? You got it. Also "not available". 
Since the insurance from the party at fault was paying for my rental, I'm assuming Hertz wanted to take the money, give me a compact car, then turn around and rent the full size cars (for full size price of course) to other people. Seems shady.
