Buyer beware - I typically shop at Home Depot for appliances. I thought I would try another company and chose HH Gregg due to the large number of appliances they have on their showroom floor. During the purchase, the salesman was fine. He was not the most knowledgeable, but tried his best and the questions I had were pretty limited due to online research. We purchased a full set for our kitchen (range, dishwasher, microwave and fridge). We were told at the very end of the purchase (when arranging delivery) that the microwave was out of stock. We decided to move forward and purchase it because it matched the fridge and that was important to us. He told us the stock should be delivered the next week. The deliveries were made the following Thursday (with the exception of the microwave). The dishwasher was delivered separately as they have a different company due that install b/c of the plumbing. The first crew arrived on time and were friendly. They did not know how to remove the drawers from the fridge and it would not fit through the doorway with the drawers in place. They installed the range with no issues. I instructed them to return the fridge. Later that morning, the second delivery arrived and the dishwasher was installed with no issue. Due to the fridge not fitting, my husband called the store to receive a credit for the fridge and cancel the microwave (as it was out of stock still and we had selected it to match the fridge). He was told I had to go to the store since I placed the order. I drove to the store that afternoon. On my way, I stopped to pick-up lunch and noticed $$ was missing from my purse (which was sitting in the kitchen during the delivery). When I arrived at the store, I spoke to the store manager. He told me that they could not process the return until the truck returned at the warehouse. I also had informed him of the missing $s and stated that I had no proof of the incident nor knew which crew was responsible. I just wanted to make them aware of the incident so they could address it (and help to not have it happen to other customers in the future). He graciously stated he would give me an additional credit against one of the install costs to cover this. He assured me that the credit would be processed although he could not supply me with paperwork (as the formal credit could not be processed yet). At this point (outside of having to drive an hour to the store), they seemed to handle everything well. The issue was I trusted them. After many phone calls to both the store and the corporate office, we have yet to receive the credit. The store personnel have been dismissive and the corporate office has a 30+ minute wait each time you call. We have been told many different policies regarding the time it takes to process the credit. First starting with 3-5 days and then extending to 7-14 days. After sitting on hold again for over 30 minutes today and being told the store had not yet processed a credit (different from the other conversations), I asked to speak with a manager and instead was transferred to the store. I spoke with another store manager and he stated to process the return, I had to return to the store. I value my time and appreciate when the companies that I chose to spend my money at do the same. I will never make another purchase from HH Gregg. There are many other options out there that provide much better customer service. I hope I am not forced to dispute the charges on my credit card as a portion of the money is due to the company. It is unfortunate this is how they handled this situation.

Sales personnel is horrible. Had to go there 2 times and left without buying because each time they were really rude and act like they don't care. I was purchasing all appliances in a house, ended up at home depot where they were nice.

You HHGREGG are not busy enough to make one customer as put out and angry as i am! I found a dishwasher we liked. It was not in Stock but would be in within 2 weeks. I got a call when it arrived. I was told i would receive a call Saturday because Sunday was the next day available for delivery and install. I questioned this because it was Sunday, Father's Day. I was assured it would arrive Sunday. Sunday morning came and we had not received a call so I called them. I was told, "Oh, no . . . we never do dishwasher installs on Sunday." Another appoint was made for Tuesday, i was told we would receive a call Monday. We did receive a call and an appointment was made for Tuesday between 5 and 9 PM. Tuesday evening came @810 PM, I called the delivery/installer who was headed to another install 30 minutes away from our home. So it was going to be over an hour before even arriving. I told him no and we agreed he would be at our house first thing Wednesday...830 AM. 840 arrived and he was not at our house. I called delivery and he was leaving the shop and it would be 50 minutes before he would be there. My son came and waited for him at 1010 AM my son called me to let me know and no one had arrived. I called the installer left a message that we could not wait. At 11 AM I received a call letting me know there was no one at our home. OF COURSE NOT! We then set a new time . . . I was very clear... "Be at our house at 7 PM or I return the dish machine." He did NOT show so I went to store to get my money back. The manager said he would take care of my refund because they had to confirm the dish machine was still in their possession. It would take a few days for the charge to reverse. A week later I had not received my credit and was told it was because we did not swipe the card and a check request takes time to credit back...so I went to the store again and swiped the card, assured that the refund would be instant. You got it! 36 hours later no refund so I call again. Daniel the manager (different than the other two managers i have been dealing with)answers and continually talks over me as I try to explain my situation. I was told it will take time to receive my refund and he is not the bank. MAY I SUGGEST YOU NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY! RUN SOME WHERE ELSE!

The salesman Edward was very friendly and knowledgeable, and I got a great price on the product I was looking for. I would highly recommend this store.
