If I could do a half star I would. When my wife and I visited this week in San Jose we were looking for a great tasting lunch spot. We found this place and it did not surprise me with delight. The salad I paid for was mediocre. It was suppose to be a spring Mediterranean salad but showed up with just green leaf lettuce with potatoes. Must have ran out of the spring and bellpeppers.. was average. I could make something better for 11 dollars. The service sucked. We were in the front for almost 5 minutes before anyone can seat us. They were not that busy, plus 2 employees looked directly at us and did nothing. I would not suggest this place. You would probably get better service at Chase across the street then here.

I enjoyed a breakfast of the Stanford omlette and hash browns, red white and blue smoothie and a cup of fruit. I tried to order a small plate of fruit, but the server suggested I ordered as cup as this is for one whereas the plate is for 3. He obviously doesn't eat a lot of fruit, as I thought the cup was too small for breakfast fruit. I wish he'd taken my small plate order. I could always have taken any extra away. The food tasted nice and the smoothie was very large. There was the same again (as what's in the glass) in the shaker behind. I found the wooden chairs very uncomfortable and asked to be moved to the soft seating around the edge.

Perfect brunch place with lot of healthy to somewhat unhealthy options if you are in cheat meal day! Seasonal specials are great and offers free coffee refills.. Last but not least, the juice is NOT freshly made!! I had mixed experiences about the staff.. some servers are just too much in rush to listen and some are really nice!

Really good brunch place in the area. They have a wide menu with various options like eggs any way, pancakes, panini, burgers and sandwiches plus various juices and shakes to go with it. Pretty fast service and reasonable prices.

Fantastic Food and Stellar Service If you are looking for a less crowded brunch place with great, affordable food Hobee's is just the right place for you and your family or friends. Everything that my group tried, french toast, breakfast quesadilla, Los Altos Quesadilla and loaded hash browns, was amazing! If you get the choice between toast and the blueberry coffee cake go for the coffee cake! For being several inches tall, the coffee cake is light and fluffy and comes out piping hot! One serving is plenty for several people. The service at Hobee's is awesome! Everyone we spoke to was helpful and friendly. All over 10/10!
