I enjoyed the daily breakfast. The eggs were fake, but I loved the strawberry banana yogurt & the freshly baked cinnamon buns. I also liked the pancake maker. There's a laundry too on the fourth floor that's really useful, it's right next to a patient first just in case there's a health emergency. It's across the street from a Wal-Mart which is great cos the rooms come with a refrigerator and a microwave. The rooms on the fifth floor have standing showers and the rooms on the third floor have tubs. Oh & when we were there they had Bath & Body Works providing their lotion, shampoo, and conditioner. It was in a lovely lemony scent and it's their same moisture rich formula. Security cameras and a nightly security guard.

One of the nicer hotels I've been at in a while. The staff is great, the rooms and hotel are very clean. Beds and pillows are comfy. Rooms are quiet. Breakfast is okay, but its free and there every morning. If I could stay inside the hotel all day long this place would get 5 stars. Lost 2 stars for me due to the surrounding area. Very depressed, no good food options. Its tough to get delivery here. Also my truck was broken into right in front of the hotel. Was hoping to be offered a little discount on the night of the incident but I'm not sure if this place even has a manager.

We were there for 5 nights as we visited DC. During this time the back door lock was broken and while they were aware they didn't fix it. Was annoying because it was the only access to the pool. Hair in the sheets on one of the queen beds, no apology when we told front desk, they acted as if it was normal. Faucet dripped constantly. Elevator smelled funny. Breakfast room was tiny. Ironically named the great room. Stayed at multiple Holiday Inn Expresses before. This was the worst.

Pro tip, don't get a room on the ground floor. The laundry and the breakfast area are on the ground floor across from each other. My room was 2 doors down. Room smelled Ike sausage and chlorine bleach. Also, this hotel is located on a busy road near old and aging business. Walking around is not an option I would recommend, nothing to see and potentially dangerous. If you are interested in going site seeing, pick a place closer to downtown DC.

I'm not sure it's in the best of neighborhoods. When we arrived there were a bunch of men hanging out around the front door & when we returned later, around 1am there were several people just hanging out in the lobby. It gave me a slightly uneasy feeling. Additionally, a keycard is required to access both the elevator & the public restrooms which doesn't inspire confidence. Parking sucks! The spaces are to small & the lot is confusing, narrow & difficult to navigate. Our room (a king) was nice enough. Clean, pleasing decor, spacious. The staff was friendly & accommodating. There is a small pool in back but it's fall & it was closed. Breakfast looked ok but it didn't really appeal to me so we skipped it.
