We usually buy ham bones for cooking soup all the time. Bought one today from this location. First time in a long time from Cartersville I am not sure if you guys changed your recipe on how you cook your hams or just what but it's not the same flavor of ham. It's very overwhelmingly smokey! Spent the day cooking a pot of soup to have to toss it. Nobody would eat it. It's horrible! It tasted like you ate a cigarette!
BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE: The smoked Turkey breast and ham prices are alot higher at this location than all the other locations. Call around for prices before you go there. Also the manager doesn't accept returns if your unhappy. My Turkey breast was very salty . The manager is very unprofessional and rude. She was yelling at me and hung up the phone in my ear.
I’ve been a resident of Floyd County for 35 years and was happy when Honey Baked Ham moved to Rome. I’ve been faithfully buying hams there for Thanksgiving and Christmas since the store opened. Before visiting the store this morning at 10:20 am, I researched the subject of freezing your ham to confirm there is no problem with it; armed with this information I proceeded to the Rome, GA store at 8 am for an early start to the day…... Wonderful – I arrived to see the store personnel don’t lollygag into work till 10 am! So, I had to drive around and waste my time and gas before I could go in and spend $70 - $90 for a ham for my son and I. 10:20 am eventually rolled around and I went BACK to the store with money in hand. Upon entering the store a dingleberry female kid behind the counter asked me what I wanted – I told her clearly and distinctly, “I would like to purchase a small bone in ham for my son and I”. She wanders off in the distance and comes back with.... a quarter pound ham with NO bone in it. I bite my tongue and tell her AGAIN what I asked for. Finally she comes back with the bone-in ham! Looks fine. Looks most excellent and I’m sure it tastes great. Armed with the information from a variety of sources on the internet regarding freezing a ham since my son won’t be coming over till the 24th, I asked, “Could you confirm I can freeze this till the 24thh, then thaw it out and eat on the 25th and then send it home with my son – would it last 10 more days after unthawing to eat from?” She obviously does not know the answer to my EASY question and looks over my shoulder to ANOTHER female dingleberry in a black shirt behind me who is obviously listening to me and silently coaching her. The first dingleberry tells me no. I repeat the question clearly and distinctly without stuttering or hesitation. That brings in the 2nd female dingleberry in the black shirt; I guess she’s trying to protect this 1st idiot? She is almost IN-MY-FACE and tells me in a stern manner as she points to the label stating it HAS to be eaten by the 25th. Again, she points to the label that states the 25th and pays no regard to my question…..—can it be FROZEN—immediately at home and then thawed out on 24th……. Will it last up to 10 days after THAT. AGAIN – finger on the label to the 25th. I told her no thank you and walked out of the store shaking my head in disgust. Please get this note to the male manager at the Rome, GA store. You people have just lost $70+ dollars. I’ll be going to Ingles for MY ham this years and doubt I’ll be back to the Rome, GA store
Really impressed with the speedy service purchasing some gift cards and the guys were so awesome to assist us. Good employees. Good food. Good service = Food: 5/5
As always some of the best ham you can ever get. I don't mind paying a higher price for good food.Food: 5/5
Fabulous sandwich generous portion of meat and cheese fresh lettuce and tomato on great crescent roll.Staff exceptional nice and friendly. Restaurant was clean and inviting Cartersville store.
I went at 5:06 on Thursday, the open sign was off, lights turned off inside, chairs turned upside down on the table. But get this, they were open inside! there was a lady who walked in about 1 min ahead of me. When she was at the counter the employee took a personal call on the store phone, and told her friend she would have to call her back. I turned a quick right and made my merry way out off of the restaurant. What type of food would I get from an employee who has clearly checked out, did closing procedures early, and prioritizes talking to her friend on the clock? The parking is non existent. Hooter has 1/3rd of their parking lot coned off, for....no apparent reason whatsoever! Honey baked shares this parking and so logistically, for me parking was terrible. Honey baked should complain to the landlord. But the whole experience was disappointing.
Great place to go for lunch! Your welcomed with love and non stop great food!
It's was my first time in, in a while, and I was surprised by all the changes to the menu. It went from a full menu to only about 7 or 8 selections, and many of my favorites gone. The only reason I'm even giving 4 starts is because the staff was good and respectful, and the menu isn't their fault. Otherwise I'm not super impressed and can't really see myself coming back with this little selection on what used to be a great menu.
Manager doesn't have great customer service. I will never support this location again.
