The food is usually great but service and timeliness is weak. Recently, I was invited to join friends who had a reservation. When I arrived the group said there was an issue with the reservation which was supposed to explain where we were seated in the restaurant. The waitress was alright. Meaning she took the order, brought the food and brought the check. Maybe there was a shortage of pens in the restaurant because six parties had to wait for the available pen before they could sign their credit card slips. They really need to put more effort into making the customer service experience just as good as the food. By the way, the shrimp po boy sandwich is excellent!

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE the oyster basket. I usually order it with the corn on the cob. When I tell you no one including myself can fix corn on the cob like Hook & 'Reel please believe me.
I told my Auntie I was going to change my name because it calls out to me weekly. Lol The ONLY reason I cannot give them five stars is all the tables are very wobbly.  When reading most seafood (on their menu) you are going to need to use you hands and it is quite annoying to have the table moving with every bite. Food, drinks, and the majority of the time service is WONDERFUL!

I absolutely loved this place when it first opened. But they are slipping now the quality of the food is off and not worth the price. The shrimp were small and over cooked ( as if they were re-warmed.  The garlic butter sauces was extremely oily.  Often times places like this come to our county and think they can service us less than we deserve and we will continue to patronize.  Please don’t get it twisted Hook & Reel If your quality continues to slip~your profits will follow!

I had the fried oyster basket. The food was good. The drinks were great! It's a nice local spot to get some good food.  The atmosphere is nice and the staff is attentive and friendly!

No silverware used. Plastic or rubber gloves protect hands as you eat succulent shellfish combinations.  Expensive.  Charged two dollars to remove heads from shrimp.  I had  hoped it would be more like Joe's Crab Shack.  I miss Joe's.
