I am a fan of J. Crew clothes - like their predictable designs and good fit.

Stopped by this flagship store for the first time over the weekend. My wife wanted to get some summer dresses for herself. The had a limited (read a few) selection of dresses for her needs and she did end up getting a couple. For a weekend afternoon, we did not see more than 3 employees in the entire 2 level store!

Service was okay when we were able to flag one of the employees down. So there was a bit of waiting at every stage - to get a fitting room, to ask for a different size, and then finally to pay!

Needs more stuff in the store and also more staff if J. Crew is serious about this store!

Disorganized store. The cashier sort of balled up the sweater I bought and went to hand it to me, paused and asked if I wanted a bag. I did, and he placed the balled up sweater haphazardly in a bag.

I almost never write reviews, but this store deserves it. This past weekend, I returned some ill-fitting Christmas clothes at different retail stores. As a guy who generally hates shopping, this was the only store that made the effort to make me feel comfortable. 

Although they didn't have the exact same style of pants I was exchanging, the staff helped me pick out a similar style that were the same price. Turns out the dress pants that I was gifted were bought with a discount, but the sales rep allowed me to exchange them rather than make me pay the difference of the non-sale price. As someone who used to work as a waiter, I appreciated the effort and general attitude of the staff for helping me through a weird issue.  I wish I had asked for the names of the two guys who helped me because they deserve the praise. Compared to other stores, this one's staff clearly made the extra effort so that I wouldn't have to.
