I always read reviews before booking with anything...cabin, hotel, etc... We have previously stayed in Gatlinburg and loved one cabin and the company that rented it was always great, however it is no longer being rented. So I'm looking for other options. I just felt compelled to let you know that when I read so many negative reviews concerning maintenance, cleanliness of the cabins, and that the management company just doesn't seem to care, you have lost my business. So thank you to those who have warned me and saved me the stress of a ruined vacation. I can say that Mountain Chalet Rentals made sure every inch of their cabins was spotless before we checked in. They also had someone drop by just after we checked in one time on the pretense of a "maintenance" issue, but I really think it may have been to verify that there was really only 2 people because we were in a larger cabin. But, either way, that was fine with us. It shows us that the company is looking out for the best interest of the cabin owners to take care of these beautiful cabins. We weren't hiding anything, so we had no problem with being checked on. I can appreciate that. The guy was not rude in any way. Your company could learn a lot from them. Take care of the cabins and the customers, and both will provide you a good paycheck. You've certainly lost our couple thousand. Hopefully Mountain Rentals will have something else comparable to the one we loved so much. I'll be calling them in the morning!

My husband and I along with our 2 (boys 11 and 18) stayed at Twilight Ridge. It was everything advertised. Game room upstairs loft had enough entertainment to fulfill everyone's pleasure. It a cozy one bedroom and there's a pull out Futon in the game room. Amazing mountain view. Perfect for a honeymoon or anniversary. We will revisit!

Beware!!! We had stayed with Jackson Mountain Homes in the past and really enjoyed it, but they are now part of a larger company. They now have a 48 hour cancellation policy! If you don't cancel within 48 hours they keep all of your money! Also, ignore the price they quote on their website. After we booked we received an email adding hundreds of dollars in fees and taxes. Very shady!!!

Motorcyclists beware. We stayed at Misty View and booked at the last minute. My husband and I rode our motorcycles and are forced to go where the weather is best suited, so planning ahead/research is not always an option. However, we were able to book on short notice and were reassured by Angie that the drive to the cabin was motorcycle accessible. I would consider us moderate to experienced riders; that climb to the cabin was by FAR the most terrifying experience we've ever had on bikes. I would never recommend this site for motorcyclists! Yes, the drive was well paved and groomed. But, there were 300 degree turns while on a sloped grade and while also climbing so much so, that we could not see ahead of us. All it would take was one patch of gravel or leaves to take us down. A bike with stretch bags could never make it. Honestly, the Tail of the Dragon was a breeze in comparison! With some practice over the time we were there, it became a little less intense. Although, we were always planning for weather, sunlight, and weight distribution in the bags. The cabin itself was enjoyable and comfortable. Another suggestion is to try and ask when the online photos were taken. Ours were clearly 10 or so years old as the saplings allowing mountain views were now full grown trees.

DO NOT RENT THE TENNESEE TREASURE CABIN. GERMAN ROACHES !!! (Dried up food under refrigerators) BROKEN GLASS PAIN WINDOW (Bedroom not safe to use) SEWER GAS SMELL (No use of entire downstairs) LAYERS OF DUST(Not deep cleaned in ages)SKETCHY PEOPLE COMING TO DOOR ASKING FOR MONEY OWED FOR WORK DONE ON CABIN (Couldn't leave ladies there alone) CIGARETTE BUTTS ALL OVER YARD. Paid a premium price for BELOW sub-standard accommodations.
