I selected the JCP salon because their prices were reasonable for my relaxer retouch but I soon discovered it's an a la carte surprise.  When I got to the register to pay a stylist said it was an additional $10 to flat iron my hair. When I asked what was included in the $50 price for a retouch she said what she did was more detailed. I didn't pay it because she didn't say it would be extra. I then selected another stylist and she did a great job with my $45 retouch with just a blow dry. I don't mind paying extra for a cut. Now her price is $60 which is ridiculously too much for a retouch and blow dry. I've tried the master stylist to the basic stylist and for my needs the basic was perfect.  It appears they're allowing the stylists to set their own prices with no added benefit to the service and you don't know what you're going to pay until you get to the register.

I have gone PT pennys hair salon for 10 years. 
I was blown away when after my trim and blow dry I was charged  $50.
I've never been charged that before and wondered why I was the only customer in there...My hairdresser was good but the way the receptionist treated a lady who asked about hair color was ridiculous and way over priced...Never again...I'm done...

I'd give zero if I could. Customer service is a joke can't even get anyone on the phone. Will never shop there again.

My experience was awful, the sales associate Daniel in the men's department was very rude.I wanted to do an even exchange on a pair of dress pants, because the button popped off. I will not be going back to shop at JCPENNEY.Hopefully this store in Fredericksburg VA will close soon.
