The optical hours are either not correct on this site or they left early. The sign with the hours was up showing we were there at at time it should have been open!  I live out of town and was trying to pick up my son's glasses so he would have them for school. Also was told via phone that the extended holiday hours for the store would last into January but actually did not. Another wasted drive!!   So we went back at another time. When checking out I was repeatedly asked if I wanted to apply for a store credit card. I explained that I had one previously but one payment was not applied even tho I faxed copy of bank bill pay statement showing the payment was made. After 60 days and "investigation" I received a letter stating my interest rate would skyrocket due to a missed payment. The bank manager tried to help but the customer service was horrible, would not budge so I paid it off and will never have one again!  The prices in the store are mislead but if you are careful they do have good sales and quality clothing.

I live an hour away. I tried to get an answer in the men’s department and no one would pick up the phone. The lady at the main desk was very helpful and tried to patch me through, but no answer. She then put me through to the kids department, who spoke to someone in Men’s. No answer again. Finally the main desk lady said “this time, someone is coming to answer”. I waited over 15 minutes on that one call and still no answer, so I hung up. All told, I spent at least a half hour on the phone with no answer from Men’s. Thus, the poor rating

My daughter and I stopped here on New Year’s Day. We were return-exchanging some Xmas items. It wasn’t very busy that morning yet didn’t really get a lot of help. (Hung over?) The last time I was here was during back to school.. At that time it was like a bomb went off in there.   I’ll give 3/5 due to unhelpful staff.

The checkout was ridiculously long.  Only two checkout desks in the whole upstairs.  More than likely won't shop at JC Penney again.
