Family room was large and spacious. Description is a bit misleading, as it says the room has a separate area with a pull out sofa, but the pull out us actually in the middle of the room. Nice space overall and good for large families. Pool was empty (we were not informed until check-in). Breakfast is typical free breakfast items: Texas shaped waffles, cereal, bagels, toast, etc. Average taste. Overall, it was a good visit.

Worn down hotel, bathtub/shower was stained, I bought a mat to put down because I was grossed out! The toilet seat lid has bubbles, and is peeling. NO vent in the bathroom. Room smelled like chlorine, bought an air freshener for the room. Bed comfy, easy and convienent location. Staff is super nice, very friendly. A cheap stay, was fine for a week while we waited for the house to close. Dog friendly which was bonus!

La Quinta is my go-to motel because of their pet friendly policy. Unfortunately, there is a wide range of quality in this chain. The Toepperwein location has a *few* good rooms (ask for the rooms at the front of the building with the inside hallway), but most of the rooms are run-down and in need of deep cleaning. You can see in the photos that the carpet is stained, the bathroom tiles are filthy with mildew, and the walls are chipped and in need of painting. This rates at this location runs an average of 30 dollar higher than other San Antonio La Quintas, which isn't worth it considering the quality of the lodgings.

Terrible place to stay. Filthy and a poor at best breakfast area. Best part was the staff which were very friendly.

Good hotel, easy access and nice breakfast. 30 minutos to San Marcos if you plan to to outlets. Is a excellent place.
