As I drove down the street to the hotel it was just scary, homeless people meandering along the walkway with the hotel encased by a chain link fence.  I considered not checking in and taking my chances elsewhere but I was tired from a long drive and had reservations. 

The lobby was filled mostly by foreign men, few women and I felt very ill at ease asking the desk clerk if this was a safe place.  He replied that I would be ok if I stayed in the hotel and advised me to park in front so my car would not be vandalized.

The hallway was narrow leading to my room which was very tiny, poorly lit and I kept telling myself, "Just one night and then I can leave for my morning appointment.  Just one night."  The bathroom fan did not work and the room had a musty smell.  Casings were eaten away at the bottom by the floor and I wasn't convinced the toilet was cleaned.  I had to ask for shampoo.

It was quiet.  The bed was sufficiently comfortable and I double locked and bolted the room from the inside.  

It has been many years since I've been this ill at ease in a hotel.  If your funds are very low you can make do, but for peace of mind spend a couple of hundred more and select a safer location and more sanitary accommodations especially if you are a woman traveling alone.

Shabby!
Lobby: Men's Room toilet seat was loose and floppy. Asian front desk person had great difficulty finding "Bob" Jones on the guest list because it he was listed as "Robert" Jones!
IN the room: Cracked shin on a small black coffee table because you had to get past it to turn on a small table light ( no wall switch). Couch had a glaring 4 inch tear in the back cushion (no attempted repair). Bathroom door handle had been replaced with a loose fitting, smaller disk revealing 1 inch of unpainted ratty wood around it. Above this door knob strike there were large crow bar marks showing how some previous, reluctant quest was extricated.

I would definitely visit again, the hotel is nice and is in a convenient location next to the freeway.  It is also close to stores and not too far from downtown. I would definitely stay here again.

Great hotel, hard part of town.  The staff was fantastic.  Alex was great, he helped me feel a little more safe when my car got broken in to (not at the hotel).  The property is completely fenced and locked down at 11pm, with loads of cameras and with professional security. The hotel was clean and easy to use. The breakfast was great and well stocked, sometimes not enough seating.  After all the walking in San Francisco the hot tub was awesome.  The room was clean, the beds comfortable, the shower was always hot and the A/C worked great.  Even the guests were in better moods while there.  I would recommend this hotel to others, I would also recommend to not have anything of any remote value in your car, day or night, well lit or under your nose.  The thieves here are ballsy and efficient.

Clean hotel, Knowledgeable staff.... Not a bad place to stay if you have to go to a Raiders Game.
