Wife and 16 year old and 4 dogs.  Stayed while RV repairs made at Ernie's hitch and welding in Olympia.  Hotel seems near New and nice.  Take a stroll down to the Tumwater fish ladder by the old Olympia brewery, beautiful park and dun to watch salmon if they are running.  A few eateries within walking distance.  They assigned me a room but after learning I had dogs, they changed my room to the second floor.  It seems all pet owners are placed on the second floor.  If you have allergies or no pets, ask for a room on the 1st, third or fourth floor.  Our pet room was clean and no odors but I noticed as I walked around in socks, my feet would get damp.  Most likely from frequent and recent carpet cleaning.  We never leave our dogs to themselves and pride ourselves on our pets not going in the room so odors or wet carpet always bother me a little.  We we're lucky to have a decent room but if they assign you a room, ask for another   it it does not meet your own standards.  I noticed the wet carpet too long into our stay and was too lazy to change.  The indoor pool was small and shallow but sufficient, except chilly!  The spa / hot tub was great.  There is quite a bit of interstates and frontage road traffic noise.  Ask for a room on the back side of the hotel.  The parking lot is adequate for guests but there was little room for our RV (we parked at a friend's) and not much room for some of the visiting commercial vehicles.  There is no overflow parking.  Staff were friendly, and professional.  Breakfast was typical laquinta fare.

My family of 7 was pleasantly surprised by this branch of La Quinta, which - though located in Tumwater - is a simple 10 minute drive into downtown Olympia - just go straight down Capitol Way!!
The rooms here are decently sized, comfortable and new - spotless clean.  The common area is actually grand and they offer event space here (see photos of the lobby).  The free breakfast is par for the course, nothing special, but great for hungry teens.
Cassandra, the manager, was welcoming & helpful.  The night staff brought up extra blankets immediately when asked.  Prices are very reasonable!

Nice appearing hotel however it's mostly for show. Poor customer service and there were multiple issues with the room itself. Parking is free and if you expect a space be early and aware of parked Uhaul trailers taking up 5 parking spaces

We usually stay here when visiting relatives in Olympia. Room is comfortable if not the most luxurious. Breakfast is adequate. They allow pets, so somewhat disconcerting to stumble upon large dogs in the hallways or in the pool area.

There was a weird snafu with my room that was pretty inconvenient, but mistakes happen, and they made it absolutely right. The room was lovely, the staff quite nice. I'll be back.
