2/13/2017 No one checked my condition in the waiting area. Almost passed out waiting 1 hour for vitals checks. After getting admitted it took over 30 minutes to see a doctor and 1 hour to receive fluid bag with pain medicine. No nurse entered my room for over 45 minutes. Could have drive to Lexington... Staff didn't show caring feeling... Felt like I was ordering from a fast food restaurant... 2/24/17 I received a call from the hospital today. A very nice lady spoke with me. Said they will look at my concerns. Thank you I appreciate you taking time to call me..

When I have been to the emergency room I have had both bad experiences and good experiences. The emergency room don't seem up to standards of what it should be. They treat everyone as drug addicts or drug seekers. The emergency room needs major improvement and some outside help. The radiology department is wonderful! I recently had to go there for cancer screening and a CT scan. They were all so nice, informative, understanding and helpful. I had surgery Tuesday and I had a wonderful experience. The nurse staff and doctors were all wonderful. They made sure to answer all my questions and kept me comfortable. They also made sure my husband had all his questions answered and was kept up to date. I couldn't have asked for a better experience.

First off NO ONE in the maternity ward should be allowed to be wearing fake nails while checking a woman's cervix that is in labor and having contractions! Fake nails should be banned. What's worse is I went in when my contractions were 3 minutes apart and they sent me home bc they said I wasn't in labor. I came back only to find out that the nurse never plugged in the monitor to track my contractions! Then they took my medical card and it paid for everything but now they are billing me for GIVING BIRTH! plus they have cock roaches! This is why I go to a Dr and hospital in a diffrent town! We just recently had no choice but to go here and they tried to put my very sick husband in a very dirty bed. I mean at least clean your sheets! Not all staff was horrible but most only did their job half way. Their was a poor lady not able to breath and a nurse yelling for help and the others working were just standing there with their thumbs up their butts not doing anything to help.

If you're incapable of doing the job you were hired and trusted to do you should be fired. Every HUMAN BEING that walks into your hospital should be treated with dignity and respect. And I think it's just common sense to clean up the previous patients bodily fluids before the next patient enters that room. A hospital should promote health and well being, Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital promotes the opposite.

I have been to the ER at Lake Cumberland Regional Medical Center. By the, before I get started, the facility is one of the worst in the COUNTRY. The country of the United States. We have worked hard to build this great country. Why wouldn't the American Medical Association either help get enough competent physicians and staff to help the people in Somerset, Pulaski County, and the surrounding areas. Our tax dollars need to go to work. Our elderly and urgent care people suffer. They need to take some of the "dope money" and entice some reputable doctors, professional techs, nurses and other caring personnel. Maybe they can just buy twenty medevac helicopters to just ship all urgent treatment patients to Knoxville or Lexington. Just keep a crew here to stabilize anyone with more than common illnesses. They can hold court in a tent, yet we build multimillion dollar courthouses to hold court and go through the sentencing process. We should build a 2000 unit jail to house the dope dealers in a 6X8 cell. Seriously, we have to do something about our hospital. Also the dopeheads everywhere that clutter our ER. Shout out to the people that are competent. I intend to do something about it. Count on it!!!
