Scenery is great. Plenty of mature trees for shade. Herds of whitetail deer roaming within a stone's throw. Pets allowed. Pool, clubhouse, bathroom facilities, boat ramp, campsites, and lake are all very nice and/or well maintained. Lake Medina RV Resort is pure delight!  My singular complaint is that the only public/community bathroom and shower facility is up near the clubhouse. If you are on the tip of the peninsula it is quite the hike or a short ride in the car. Not an issue if you have a bathroom in your RV, but this was a bit of an inconvenience in our little minimalist pop-up with no potty and a 4 year old in spot 34. Other than that, this place is great and the lake is full and beautiful this year. We enjoyed it and will certainly come back again and again.

For a two day quick get away wit the family (3 adults and 2 children (11 and 9), it was perfect. We rented a cabin, which was perfect for our small group.  Nice, clean, furnished, central air/heat, hot water, full kitchen and large bathroom.  Our timing was not great as we booked ahead of time in front of a historic flood, so there was debris all along the shoreline. The boat ramps and many of the areas the kids would have been able to swim were not available at the time, but you could see it would have been a very nice set up if it were not for the flooding.  We did find a nice place to fish that was clean and where the kids could kayak for the day. The fishing was super, we caught 28 small bass in a four hour period the first afternoon but the next day we only caught 10ish.  They were small, 1 to 2lbs but the lake had been almost completely dry for many years due to drought. (they restocked the lake last summer with babies that are growing). Overall, this was a nice place and we look forward to going back once the shores are clear. It had a small pool for the kids to swim at the clubhouse. The grounds were well maintained and the owners/staff were nice and helpful.
This to know - 
Not all the docks are property of the facility.  Some are private to a few fishing camp houses that are on the north side of the RV camp.  Ask before you go out on any docks if they are public or not.
Bring extra towels, pillows and blankets if renting a cabin as there are not any extra if needed.
The walks from the cabin to the lake area is long as the cabins are at the top of the property. Next time we will take bikes for the kids.
A small grocery store in Lakehills is 5 min away which is helpful for last minute things as well as a Dollar General and Hardware store. Makes it easier to buy there and not pack prior to the trip.
Overall, we recommend this place to families looking for a quiet get away. It is not a super fancy five star type of resort but it def makes you feel comfortable.

Great place to hang out. Lots of trees and wildlife. Fishing and boating. Clubhouse and pool. Wonderful staff. Very rustic, not a fancy place but well maintained. Long road in but well worth the drive.
