Stayed here for 3 nights and wish I'd gone somewhere else.

 Pros: The staff was very friendly and the included breakfast is great.

 Cons: The owner needs to spend some money on updates/maintenance; In our room the carpet smelled like it hadn't been cleaned in a couple years and the shower curtain hanger was falling off the walls and rusty. Not an exaggeration: there had to be about 25 bugs in the pool area mostly on the floor, some on the walls. The "hot" tub was never "hot" but always luke warm to warm. Feel we paid to much for this "3 star" hotel.

We had a couple issues with an indirect party booking us at this hotel while it was closed but Mark the owner was incredibly kind and helpful in helping us find a new hotel immediately and did everything he could to make our trip enjoyable!

I traveled to the Lodge with my fiance and my sister. We had a great time at the Lodge. The breakfast was hot and tasty. The staff was very friendly and attentive. We were happy with our stay and so was our dog. Very good hotel for the price!

The staff was very helpful at all hours of the day/night.  Though the pool and hot tub were very small, both were very clean.  Breakfast was hot, and there was plenty for everyone, though the hotel was FAR from at capacity.  Considering the reviews I read before starting, I'd say they've really stepped up their game this year.  There is one older lady working there who seemed a bit over her head...but the rest of the staff is great!

We had a very nice 3 night say at The Lodge at Mount Rushmore. The rooms were clean and comfortable, breakfast was as advertised, the staff was friendly, and the hotel was conveniently located just a few minutes outside of town. The hot tub was out of order, internet was sporadic, and our room keys had to be reactivated a couple of times but that didn't bother us.

At the time of booking we were charged the full amount for our stay, and at the time of checking out we were told our bill had been paid in full however our credit card was again charged the full amount of our stay.

I understand that errors happen, however since discovering this error I have spent several weeks emailing and calling to try and get this resolved and we still have not received a refund for the duplicate charges.

Once resolved i will update this review.
