Everything from getting the reservation made to check out was easy with Mountain View lodge and cabins. We stayed in the lodge the first night and a cabin the next 3 nights. The lodge rooms are small. But very clean, well kept, and neat. For two of us, it was fine, as we did not spend much time in the room. The cabin was really nice. We'll equipt for some basic food preparation, and storage. We found the location to be fairly central in location for what our plans were for our stay in the Black Hills.  Check out was a snap, and we were rather sad to have to leave to go home. We plan to go back next year!

We expected a cabin, but when we arrived we realized that it was just one room, with a VERY SMALL bathroom and shower. There was no kitchen and all the groceries we bought was wasted because we couldn't cook. The photos are deceiving and are not of the actual rooms. So disappointed. I cried the first night of our stay and it ruined our vacation.

Friendly service. Clean rooms. No ice machine for in room.  Well kept and quiet. Close to Rushmore and Custer.

Just spent the week here. Great location as far as proximity to what we wanted to see. Staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. Yes it was close to the road, as are a lot of the places in that area, but traffic was minimal at night so the road noise wasn't really noticable. Very clean, well kept grounds and accommodations. We did our research and booked early so we were able to pick the cabin and lodge room that fit our needs and were just as described. Did not try the breakfast but was nice to know it was an option if we chose. WiFi and phone service are a little sketchy, but can't blame that on the lodge, very spotty in the area not just the lodge. The only issue we had was when we went to use the pool in the evening it had been padlocked and closed over an hour earlier than the posted hours. Overall, pleasant experience.

Perfect location for touring atound the hills.  Staff was friendly and very helpful.   Rooms were spotless and perfect for the rate.
