Dr Akhtar is one of the best gp's I had the pleasure to know over my 65 years. Experienced and talented with the finest ability to identify and address my medical issues. I understand he has moved to another practice and if he's listening and wants me as a patient I would prefer to continue my medical care with him.  Obviously, a talented and remarkable doctor.

Dr.Akhtar is a wonderful doctor. He has been my doctor for the past four years. I have been really sick and he has went above and beyond to help me get better and he makes sure that I'm taking care of with referrals, paperwork, follow ups,etc. He really cared about his patients and he listens to you. I will really miss him.

Dr. Jeffrey Akhtar has been my primary care physician for over 10 years. He is an awesome physician who took the time to listen and hear me in order to understand what my health needs were. Then together, we developed a plan of action. I was in my late 40's when I had my first visit with Dr. Akhtar. I had many health issues that were unmanaged but he encouraged me to work on improving my health and he consistently worked with me to find the best prescriptions that would help as I worked to improve my health issues. My husband and I both had Dr. Akhtar as our primary care physician and were heart broken to hear that he left MUSC. Hearing this news we have decided that maybe it is time for us to leave MUSC too. I have been a patient in their clinics for longer than Dr. Akhtar has been my doctor and I have never found any other physician who provides the honest care that he does.

Dr. Akhtar is a wonderful, caring physician that takes a real interest in his patients. I would highly recommend him.

Unfortunately, Jeff resigned from MUSC on Jan. 13.   He will be missed.
