Incompetent, racist, and bias deputies and security guards working at this courthouse. Don't understand how you can have people who don't even know the law in a position of enforcement and power if they themselves demonstrate need in the education of laws. Not only that but racist. Several of the deputies up in the front doors were following me around the entire courthouse. Even to the restroom. just because of my appearance, I have a beard so they were telling their fellow workers in the courthouse that they were following me for their safety. Also, taunting me to provoke me when I never did anything to them other than do my duties of paying my fees that were due. And lazy security guards who need to learn manners, and morals. Trying to make fun of me because I didn't have a wallet ? Never knew it was a necessity to carry a wallet into a courthouse. Also judging my appearance, do you guys need psychological help ? People are there to pay fees, not to be judged. if you're not a people person don't work in a environment that's gonna require you to interact with people. Overall a really unorganized courthouse. Needs a lot of improvement, especially from the deputies and securities... not sure what problems they have with people who have beards and very judgmental of appearance... never knew I was there for a fashion show. People are just there to pay their fees. Very difficult to walk in this courthouse with a beard. Racist and bias people all over...

The people were nice enough, but the lobby needs better signage. They could at least provide a coin to flip :p

I'm a criminal defense lawyer, and I more or less regularly appear on cases all over southern california. Metropolitan is a pretty old, decrepit court house, but have sympathy for the staff, who are coping with years of budget cuts which have left them greviously understaffed. Seriously, it's not their fault. If you can afford it, this is a good place to hire a lawyer because it can be a long wait.

I barfed ,haha got a ticket for a empty beer can and some woman gave me free food plus subway gave me horchata, and now got court. Yay
